For those of you who are interested in red roses that will appear reliably throughout the growing season, look to Europeana.  This floribunda has stood the test of time and proven to be a winner both in competition and in the garden.  Europeana received The Hague Gold Medal and the Golden Rose award in 1962, it won the All-American Rose Selection award in 1968, and the Portland Gold Medal in 1970.  The glossy, clean foliage is a good backdrop for the scarlet blooms that do not fade with age. The slightly spreading plant will blend well with perennials and other roses.
