Golden Showers is a climbing rose that has stood the test of time.  Described as one of the most reliable and floriferous yellow climbers available, I have yet to experience more than one of its golden blossoms.  It was really pretty!  Well, it's my fault-- just because I read it could tolerate shade I planted it on a north-facing wall and expected miracles.  This fall I faced reality, and moved it to a location where it will get sun all day long.
Immediately after the move, Golden Showers rewarded me with renewed growth and new foliage (too late in the season for flowers).  I'm so anxious to see for myself the great things I've read about its beautiful yellow blossoms, disease-resistance, and winter hardiness.  Can't wait until next summer!
Golden Showers can take a couple of seasons to settle in and start climbing.  Save pruning and training for the second year.
