From all reports, this rose is supposed to be a charming monster--  a miniature rose with the ability to ascend to great heights and become nearly as wide.  In this first season here I have been terribly disappointed with the growth of my two Jeanne Lajoie.  I'm hoping it's due to first season lag.  If I don't see some growth next summer I'll really be puzzled!
I got only a few blooms from these roses this summer, but they sure were cute.  The little pink roses with turned back petal edges looked so demure.  No scent, but I didn't buy
Jeanne Lajoie for fragrance.  I want massive bloom!  The pictures I've seen on the web would lead me to believe that if I'm patient I will get what I paid for.
At present, my dreams for this rose are much bigger than reality.  I imagine it trailing along the ground and twining through the picket fence.  I hope I can add a photo next summer that will prove my dreams are coming true.

Special thanks to Cheryl Netter for allowing me to link to her beautiful photos of Jeanne Lajoie.
