John F. Kennedy is one of those persnickety hybrid teas that I talk about on my Winter Prep page.  It was one of the first roses we tried here five years ago.  It died!  I guess I'm a glutton for punishment because I planted a new one in the garden this week.  John F. Kennedy was my daughter's rose, and she wanted to replace it. It's a black spot magnet, and I can only hope for the best.
Beyond its failings, John F. Kennedy is a beautiful rose.  At first green, the roses eventually turn pure white, bearing a luscious fruity fragrance.  Bloom has not been abundant here.  Two flushes with perhaps two or three blossoms each time.  Maybe this new rose bush will perform better.
