John Davis is a lush climber well-suited for northern gardens where cane hardiness is a must.  We've chosen two of these roses to climb an arbor at the west end of our new patio garden.  The ruffly pink, fully double roses bloom consistently throughout the season.  Some note a spicy fragrance exuded from the petals.
With diligent pruning John Davis can be made to stay slim and trim on an arbor, but left to its own devices expect a large shrub.  Very hardy!  Very beautiful!
