Just Joey

I know that capital letters on the internet mean shouting.  Well, the wonders of this rose just have to be shouted from the rooftops.  JUST JOEY IS A FABULOUS ROSE!  After reading up on it this spring I saw only one for sale at a local discount store.  It wasn't looking great at that point, but I snatched it up and planted it with care by the fence that supports our grapevines.  Just Joey rewarded me with the most delightful and HUGE roses I've ever seen!
The roses produced are very large-- perhaps as much as 6 inches across.  Charming ruffles decorate the edge of every petal, and the luminous color of Just Joey's blossoms outshines all the other roses in my gardens.  The scent is fresh and sweet, rather fruity, and lends the final touch of elegance to this inspiring rose.
Just Joey grows to a height of 2.5 feet with a spread of 2 feet.  I have found growth to be vigorous, if somewhat unbalanced, at present.  I believe its youth may account for this, and I hope to see new shoots from the base next year that will fill in gaps.
