Oranges 'n' Lemons

Breeder:  Sam McGredy

Introduced:  1994

Parentage:  New Year x (Freude x Seedling)

Class:  Floribunda

Color:  Orange and yellow, striped

Scent:  Mild

Zone:  Hardy

Oranges 'n' Lemons was a special pick by my mother.  The striking colors and unusual striping appealed to her sense of adventure.  Our son Nathaniel loves the color orange, so he's anxious to see this rose bloom for the first time too.
New foliage is a rich mahogany color and reported to be disease-proof.  Hardiness is a plus.  Tall, arching canes and unique blossoms combine to create an unusual garden specimen.  I look forward to seeing this rose show off its virtues in the spring.
