Paradise

June 2000

Now that Joshua is 21 I think it's safe to have Paradise back in the garden.  The first shrub I owned back in 1981 was promptly stomped out of existence by that overexuberant, toddling gardener whom we fondly refer to as our son.
Paradise is a raspberry-mauve confection of extreme beauty and fruity fragrance.  The perfectly formed hybrid tea blossoms are held aloft on strong stems graced with reddish-green disease-resistant foliage.
Paradise will easily hold its own next to the other roses I've planted nearby-- Rosa Mundi, Angel Face, Gene Boerner, and Perfume Delight.  A splash of sunny yellow comes from New Day, Circus, and Golden Celebration.
