Polka

Special thanks to Heirloom Old Garden Roses

Polka
(Scented Dawn)

Breeder:  Meilland

Parentage:  Golden Showers x Lichtkonigen Lucia

Introduced:  Conard Pyle (Star Roses) 1991

Class:  Romantica Climber

Color:  Peach and Apricot

Scent:  Old Rose

Size:  10-12 feet

Zone:  5-10

This lovely Romantica climber will be twining around a bird feeder post near the patio this summer.  Its magnificent shades of peach will blend beautifully with nearby roses "Sweet Dream," "Pat Austin," and "By Appointment."
"Eden" was the first in the Romantica line, and "Polka" is another worthy addition to these lovely French roses.  Flowers are large, fragrant, ruffled, and just absolutely gorgeous!  Bright green foliage is in perfect contrast with the peach and apricot blossoms.  Roses appear throughout the season on a vigorous, disease-free climber.
