"The Impressionist" is a 2000 introduction from Heirloom Old Garden Roses.  Its complex heritage and unique coloration will no doubt endear rose lovers and collectors to its charms.  Bred from "Graham Thomas" and "The Yeoman," The Impressionist bears English-style roses of an intense yellow in spring, changing to a lovely orange in the fall.  The dark, blue-green foliage is a fine compliment to the uniquely colored blossoms.  A strong old rose perfume completes the artistic arrangement.
This rose will be a new addition to our patio garden this spring.  We plan to have it climb along the south-facing picket fence that surrounds the patio.  Growing along with "Oranges 'n' Lemons," "Black Ice," and "Scentimental," The Impressionist is sure to make a lasting "impression" on visitors to our garden.
