Hi, if you've made it this far then you
know that my name is Shadow and that I live in a huge old colonial with my family near the Atlantic Ocean.....
This is my story of how I came to live
with my great family.....
took my twin sister and myself to the SPCA....
Our names at the time were Mickey & Minnie, and
we were only about 7 weeks old....We both missed
our MomCat very much and were glad we had
each other while we were in this new scary, loud
place.....
the SPCA to look for a kitten......
They really wanted to take both me & my sister
home, but were only allowed ONE kitten.....
I was so happy they chose me and also sad
to leave my sister.....I hope she found a home
as nice as mine would turn out to be!
I checked out this big old house.....Everyone was
very careful when they were walking around so
as not to step on me.....Being a very small black kitten, I was hard to see sometimes.....I could fit
in the palm of your hand I was so small!!
I weighed less than a pound :):)
After many different ideas it was decided that "Shadow"
for a name suited me better than "Mickey"....
I'm glad as I like the name Shadow much better....it's so mysterious...he he he :)
specially nice to me....She made sure that
I had plenty of food and water.....and played
with me alot.....
I was a rough & rowdy little kitten and when
I played sometimes I accidentally scratched
and hurt .....I just didn't know how sharp
my claws were....
spending most of my time with Jody.....I could
play rough and it felt right being with her.....
I just knew that Jody needed someone
special to love and care for.....
to give ME to Jody for a present.....
A return trip to the SPCA had gotten
another kitten, Taffy, to take my place....
Jody & I had the best Christmas ever...
We both told my family with lots of love
how very happy we were to now belong to
each other.....Thank-you "family".....You're the best....
Our good friend Judy scanned the picture
for us and sent it to Mom via e-mail so we
could put it on my page....

heart for my family, but my Mom
is the most important person in my life!!
Mom takes great care of me and lets me have
my own way most of the time....she makes
sure I get my regular veterinary checkup every
year with all my shots.....and I even get my teeth cleaned!!
I almost always come running when my Mom
calls me....which I hear is very unusual for a cat!!
thumblatch kind, I just tap the latch and then hang
onto the handle until the door swings open--clever
aren't I??
I can catch any bug that dares venture into the
house and I've almost got my Mom trained to my
every need and desire!!
I'm great at hide 'n seek....sometimes Mom looks
all over for me and when she has given up and least
expects it.....there I am right behind her.....I really live
up to my name Shadow sometimes...
