Who may be and who can't be the ";Higher Power";

Who may be and who can't be the "Higher Power"
The main story right now that is on everyone's mind is "Who is the 'Higher Power.'" Well, numerous stories and rumors have been running wild on the internet about who it can possibly be. Here's a breakdown of who it sure as hell can't be and who it may be.

Shawn Michaels- Very likely. He is employed in the WWF, and he has the most power in the WWF right now since he is the Commissioner. Also, if you look at the way that the "Higher Power" walked down the aisle, it is similar to Shawn Michaels' strut and walk. He also wrestled Austin in his own last match at WrestleMania XIV, which he lost, so Shawn wants revenge and this will probably be it. Also, he assigned himself the special guest referee on Raw about 1 month ago and didn't really do much to help out Austin or attack Shane, or anything along those lines. The WWF has been frantically looking for an angle to put him in and this could be it. Chances of him being the "High Power" 1/2 - 50%.

Vince McMahon- Vince has gotten over as a face really well lately and it is unlikely that he will go back to being a heel, but then again, in the WWF, you just never know. Austin also called the "Higher Power" a dirty, stupid bastard or something like that, which is what he usually calls Vince. It could be Vince because of this, but why would Austin be so scared to see him when the "Higher Power" revealed who he (or she) was on Raw Monday night? Plus Vince McMahon doesn't walk like the "Higher Power" does. Chances- 1/20- 5%

Shane McMahon- When the Corporate Ministry came out on Raw at the end of the show, Shane wasn't the only one there. He does have more power than Vince, or in the storylines at least, and everytime the Undertaker said "Higher Power," he always looked down at Shane during his previous interviews. But once again, the WWF would want to make this a really big surprise on who the "Higher Power" is, and Shane is the first one to come to people's mind, since he is a major heel, and again, why would Austin be afraid of him like he was on Raw? Chances- 1/50- 2%

Linda McMahon- She was shown once on WWF televising before, so why would they only show her once and that's all? She in real-life, does own a heavy portion of the WWF, and has basically just as much power Vince in real-life, if not more, so it may be played out that she has more power than Shane in the storylines. However, Linda is a "she" and the Undertaker always referred to the "Higher Power" as a "he," but once again, this may all be a swerve by the WWF. Linda is too short to be the "Higher Power" and her walk is a lot different too. Plus, why would Austin be afraid of her? Chances- 1/33- 3.33...%

Stephanie McMahon- Too short, walks differently, and Austin wouldn't be afraid of her like he was on Raw when he saw the "Higher Power." Has some power in the WWF in real-life and is Vince's real-life daughter, but in the storylines, it was never mentioned that she had any power and is just referred to as Vince's daughter. Her walk is sort of similar to the "Higher Power's," but not exactly alike. Also, she is a "she" and Taker refers to the "Higher Power" as a "he," but then again, it could all be a swerve. Chances- 1/100- 1%

Jake "The Snake" Roberts- Jake Roberts was the man that Austin beat at the WWF's King of the Ring PPV on June 23, 1996, back 3 years ago around this time. Jake is currently not employed by the WWF but may be brought in for a few appearances without a contract and just get payed per appearance. His height is similar and his walk is similar, too, to the "Higher Power's." He wants revenge on Austin after losing the 1996 King of the Ring, but he doesn't have any current power in the current WWF stoylines, and the "Higher Power" is known to have more power than anyone. Jake is currently having problems with the law as he isn't paying enough child support and has been sent to jail several times before. Chances- 1/500- .02%

Shane Douglas- The "Higher Power" angle started before he was released from ECW. At the moment, he is not employed by the WWF and has turned down their last 2 contract offers. He is about the right height to be the "Higher Power," but is a lot more beefy and built than the "Higher Power" looked to be. Austin would probably be afraid of him or shocked to see him, so that's a little clue. You can't be 100% positive it isn't him, since maybe it is kept under wraps that he signed a secret deal, but that is almost 100% unlikely. Chances-1/10000- .0001%

Papa Shango- The Godfather's old Voodoo gimmick. Charles Wright, the Godfather, is too tall and too beefy to be the "Higher Power," and his walk is totally different. He is currently having a lot of success with his current "pimp" gimmick and is over as a babyface extremely well. Plus, he is wrestling Road Dogg under his Godfather gimmick on Heat this Sunday from the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The only hints that say it might be him a little is that he lost the IC Title to Jeff Jarrett on Raw this past week and that the Papa Shango and the Undertaker gimmicks are somewhat similar and the two have had a small past in the WWF with each other back in 1992. Chances- 1/100000- .00001%

Warrior- After seeing that he is no longer over with the crowd, and what he did to WCW's ratings, I don't think the WWF would want to hire him, even on an pay per appearance deal. Plus, he left on bad terms and has a bad workrate. He is too tall, too beefy, and too bulky to be the "Higher Power" and hated the Undertaker when they were both wrestling in the WWF from 1990-1992. The only clue that it may be him is that he's from the Undertaker's WWF past, but that sounds way out of line. Chances- 1/1000000- .000001%

Ted DiBiase- He did the WCW Nitro Backstage Blast program just 1 month ago and it scheduled to do it again next week, so it definitely isn't him. He is about the same height at the "Higher Power," but does not have a contract with the WWF and has one with WCW, as just stated. He brought Austin AND the Undertaker to the WWF, but doesn't have any power since he is not involved in any WWF storylines since he isn't with the company. Chances- 0/1- 0%

Owen Hart- It's sickening and amazing some people still don't believe he is dead and think he is the "Higher Power." If you don't believe, just go and ask someone that went to his funeral, or Stu Hart and Helen Hart how they feel that they've lost a son, or Martha Hart that she's lost her husband. If Owen was still alive, he wouldn't fit into the storyline anyway, since he would have no current power in the company. Owen's gone, may he rest in peace. Chances- 0/1 - 0%

Overall, the WWF has done a terrific job keeping secret who the "Higher Power" is, which just keeps people guessing. In my own opinion, I think it is Shawn Michaels, due to the reasons that I named. Only time will tell.
