Junior Amateur Masters strike gold at CTF Championships

At the CTF Youth Championships, 3 JAM members struck All-Events Gold while representing Southern Ontario. Encore 2004 Champion, Senior Girl Michelle McKay earned gold in the team event, singles, and in all-events. Steven Chatoff added silver medals in teams and singles to his gold in doubles and all-events. The only bowler at the championships to win the grand slam was JAM's own, Jennifer Besana. In the Junior Girls division, she won all-events gold by over 400 pins to cap off a stellar weekend. She also won gold in the team event with Michelle. Jennifer then teamed up with Steven in Junior doubles to win gold with a perfect record. Finally, she went undefeated to capture the singles event as well. Jennifer and Michelle will be part of the Canadian contingent competing in the 2005 Tournament of Americas, while Jennifer will be representing Canada in the 2006 FIQ Youth Championships. Congratulations to all three of these fine athletes on their outstanding performances on Canada's biggest bowling stage.

At the CTF Team Trials in Calgary, Alberta, JAM Member Chris Fernandez finished in 5th place. His outstanding performance throughout the four-day competition earned him a spot on Team Canada and a gold medal in qualifying first for Junior Team Canada. Chris has had plenty of experience on the international bowling scene and the Junior Amateur Masters wish him the best of luck during his time with Team Canada.
