I have been playing OTB chess since 1986. I picked it up watching a blindfold display (a bet between two friends with one claiming he can beat the other blindfold! He did!) I'm rated 2158 (local elo) and 2193 FIDE. My FICS (handle "jrt") rating yo-yos between 1950 and 2120. In CC, it's 2413 ICCF, 2254 IECC and 2209 IECG. My best OTB results: 1st National Rapid Chess 1992, 1st Cairnhill Open 1996, tied for 2nd - National Championships 1994, tied for 2nd, National Blitz 1998 and tied for 11th to 14th in the Commonwealth Championships 1992. By the way, my wife's a 3 time National ladies' champ, and represented Singapore in the'92 Manila Ol and '94 Moscow Ol. She also drew Karpov in a 20 bd simultaneous match. Now we play less OTB Chess as I dabble in email CC and my wife prefers to play the SIMS (PC Simulation game). I have just attained the ICCF-International Master title this year.

We have a Jack Rascal ...sorry ...Russell Terror sorry - again...Terrier called Scottie. My wife adores and hates him at the same time. Whenever we are out, she will tell me how much she misses him. When we get back and see the mess he has created, she'll say "Let's sell the dog..."
