In 1977 Pontiac made minimal changes once again, after all, why mess with perfection, ha ha, anyways,
differences were once again limited to front end treatment, with one of the more noticeable changes being
Pontiac's decision to move the front side marker lenses to the fiberglass front end.
My 1977 Ventura, complete with Landau roof package, the traditional large windows were left intact and the vinyl roof was placed over them, which in my case has begun to leave small rust spots immediately below the chrome trim at the bottom of the Landau top. This is a dealership postcard sent out by Pontiac dealers to prospective buyers to show the new models. The 4 door here is a Ventura SJ, as far as I know the only difference was SJ emblems under the Ventura script on the front fenders and a SJ emblem on the dash. |
Here is a nice 1977 drag racer preparing for a run down the 1/4 mile. |
A picture of the '77 in action. |
Here is a nicely built '77, the owner has quite a nice website which can be reached HERE |
Here are some pics of the Pontiac Ventura Sprint, a
dealer-prepped custom like a Yenko Camaro, but with only cosmetic changes, like the quarter window louvres. Click HERE for another page with more pictures and a link to the owner's homepage. |
I wish I could find a larger picture of this car, as
it appears to be buccaneer red, similar to my car, but with a black racing stripe that follows the hood contours. |
