Fabric: 4-ply pure wool, machine knitted at tension no. 10. accross the full bed. Machine washed at temp 65C to felt the fabric. Extra plastic washing liquid balls are added to the machine to aid the felting process. The fabric is then dried and steam pressed. Pattern pieces are then cut out to my own pattern and the garment is made up. Blanket stitching was used to join the panels. The edgings are then machine knitted on a bias at tension no 5.
The decoration is free form crochet. Although both sides are mirror imaged they are not identical as there is variance in size of individual fragments.

The motif is freeform crochet with the addition of three mirror pieces held in position with random stitchery.

Other yarns used are fine boucle acryllic/cotton mix, cotton/linen slub yarn, fine bright  silky acryllic and a fine multi colour yarn which may be a silk slub or a silk acryllic mix. (the slub  has the feel of silk tops)
