Type M spray shield tubes were invented and manufactured by Rogers. Eventually other tube manufacturers also made and sold spray shield tubes. These tubes were the predecessors to metal tubes. Because Rogers Majestic and DeForest Crosley (all made by Rogers) radios were made only in Canada (not USA) and finding tube substitution information for type M tubes can be a challenge. Tube Substitution Books tend to overlook Type M tubes. Finding type M tubes can also be difficult.
