Fruit Crumble
This recipe was a big hit at the Heliopolis British Club using cored unpeeled apples. For the Brits, I served it with custard. Topping: 1 Block unsalted butter (256grams) 2 cups flour 1/2 cup oatmeal 1 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon cinamon 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg Filling: 1 kg fruit (apples, peaches, pineapple, berries) 1/3 cups sugar 3 tablespoons flour dash cinamon dash nutmeg Mix filling ingredients and place in a greased shallow baking pan. Mix topping ingredients until you have a loose, crumbly mixture. Place on top of filling but do not pack down. Bake at 180 degrees Celcius for 40 to 45 minuites until the top is brown and filling is bubbly. Serve with ice cream. |
