On January 4th, 2003 Judy and I were legally married at the Office of Foreign Marriage in Alexandria, Egypt.  As is the custom in Egypt, the reception or "wedding party" was held later, on Ferbruary 1st, again in Alexandria.  That is where Judy got to wear the dress you see above.  I made the dress several months before.  It is a satin and chiffon princess waistline gown with lots of lace.  Judy was obviously lovely in it.  We had a small wedding party, less than 100 people.  The entire affair went smoothly, no disasters to mar the evening.  Below are some highlight photos, courtesy of my friend Trevor and his digital camera.

In the Middle East, it is customary for the bride and groom to sit up on this throne-like affair when they aren't dancing or eating.  It was a little disconcerting, but after a while I thought it was good to be king.
