Slash was introduced to music at quite a young age, he was surrounded by  artistic friends of  his parents, these consisted of Joni Mitchell, David Geffen, David Bowie, Ron Wood and Iggy Pop. Slashs beloved granmother gave him his first guitar, and even though it had one string he was able to learn to play. Slash was influenced by his role models Led Zep, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Neil Young. He says the Areosmiths album "Rocks" was a life changing experience for him. He would later go on to play with most of his rock idols. After Slash had given up on biking he played devoted at least 12hours a day playing the guitar. He skool work suffered because he would skip class to by guitar. On the other hand his social status became much better, because the other kids though he was cool now. This meant he was no a social outkast between the kids. Slash eventally drop out of skool, and join the LA band scene. Slash joined LA Guns where he meet Izzy Stradlin. Izzy Stradlin played him a tape where he was playing and W.Axl Rose was singing. Slash immediately went to see Axl Rose to ask if he would sing in Slash's band. In a result this would been stealing Izzy singer, so they decided to create there own band. Then Slash got in Duff McKagan to play bass. Then Guns N' Roses was formed!!!!!! After Guns N' Roses had split up Slash made his own group called the Snakepit, which eventally brought out an Album.
