| This is from the "History of Damage: Volume 3" DVD, added on because of Jeff's fondness for Tiger's work. The scene opens up with JVD in a sound studio, talking about Tiger's work (in the ring, on the mike, and backstage) with splices in and out from this match. Finally, we get real footage, and we've got HEEL JVD here, as he's a part of the Power Trip. The blood of evil runs through him, yadda yadda, and HERE COMES TIGER! Hot damn, these people love him. Jeff is SO channeling the Rock with the arrogant gestures and talking to the crowd. This match is also being taped by JVD's Solid Gold Productions studio, making it an exclusive match to the DVD. Bueno. Commentators are Marie Arlington and "The Missing Soulja." Hey, guess he ain't out of work after RAW shut down after all. |

Lockup, Tiger with an armdrag. Again, JVD hammerlock, then a snapmare, lateral press. To the chinlock, and now the side headlock. Tiger whips JVD in, gets tackled. JVD runs into a back body drop. Tiger hits a front dropkick, then an armdrag into an armbar. JVD elbows out and elbows Tiger into the corner. JVDs whips Tiger in for the tilt-a-whirl gut buster! It gets 2. Back to the armbar, cool replay segue of the tilt-a-whirl. JVD wrings the arm and elbows the arm into oblivion. He stomps Tiger down, brings him out and gives him an elbow. Tiger kicks back, but JVD stomps him down and grabs a knucklelock, working the arm again. So far, it's been Tiger with the high flying offense, and Jeff just trying to ground him down. Works for me. Tiger fights back in the lock, runs the ropes, and gets a springboard headscissors. Tiger runs into an armdrag and a hammerlock, but snapmares out. Tiger with a monkey flip, and looks for the Lethal Injection, but JVD pulls the ref in front and he takes it in the ribs. Tiger with rights as Psychopath comes down and hits the PSYCHOISM!! I think. That's what Marie called it. Then JUXTAPOSE comes down and knocks Psycho out of the ring and pounds him down. Inside, JVD makes with the BAH GAWD WIIIIIIIILDBOOOOOOOMB!! BUT it only gets a bastardizing count of 2 as Juxtapose comes in and kill JVD DEAD with a lariat. Psychopath knocks Jux out as refs comes out and break this shindig up. Psycho gets whipped to the rail as the combatants are out on the inside.
Finally, after much shenanigans, Tiger hits a bulldog and a Springboard Moonsault for 2. Tiger gets a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for 2. He looks for the Shock Treatment, and CRACKS Jeff good with it. That was brutal. He pulls JVD out, and lies him down. Up top, but JVD PUSHES HIM OVER THE ROPES. EWWWWW. Replay, and rightfully so, as Tiger lands STOMACH-FIRST on the guard rail! Tiger is just fucked now. JVD is waiting...PESCADO! Rolled back in, as Jeff just slaps him around. He pulls him up by his chin, and then SMACKS seven kinds of taste out of his mouth. HA! Tiger sells it like he just got shot in the face. Jeff pulls Tiger up and gets the HIGH ANGLE BACKDROP, then heads up top. Tiger is up and he meets him up top for a spine-tingling SUPERDUPERPLEX. cover.. ONE.. TWO.. 2.99999!!!! JVD's clothesline is ducked, and Tiger falls behind on the powerbomb attempt, and nails a power bomb of his own! We wait for him to do the Entry/Exit wounds, but no luck. Tiger with elbows and whips JVD in, who reverses and RIPS Tiger's head off with a rushing lariat for 2 as he TRIED to CHEAT TO WIN~! with the ropes. JVD gets an Armbar Strangle Hold and then he hits Tiger with elbows. Up top, JVD gets elbowed off and Tiger gets a MOONSAULT PRESS for 2. It gets a replay as Tiger works over JVD, but JVD whips Tiger in and plants him with the Quebrada DDT. Jeff gets two off of that, so he goes to for the VAN DAMAGER, only for Tiger to roll it up into a pin!! ONE.. TWO.. 2.99999!! Jeff breaks, and catches Tiger running.. VAN DAMAGER!!! ONE!! TWO!! ......2.9999999!!!!! The crowd was on the edge of their seats for that one. JVD pulls Tiger up, and works him down with the chops. He tosses him cross-corner, and Tiger flair flips up to the top rope.. only to spring off with a Moonsault! Jeff ducks, and Tiger lands on his feet. Jeff turns, and Tiger goes for a kick- Jeff catches, backflips Tiger, and gets caught it a tilt-a-whirl head scissors into the turnbuckle! Jeff bounces out, as Tiger nails him with the Lethal Injection (spear), sending Jeff out of the ring. Baseball slide knocks JVD down, and then he nails the CORKSCREW NO HAND SENTON! He catches HUGE air, and it gets a replay and a "Tiger" chant to boot.
Now in, Tiger Springboard falling splash hits knees, and JVD quickly downs him with the Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker/rib breaker combo. He whips Tiger into the turnbuckle HARD, and bounces off the ropes, before LEVELING him with the SPEAR!!! Tiger gives the greatest sell for a spear ever, folding over accordion style, and then flipping over himself. It made it look like the move "broke him into two pieces", as Soulja put it. Crowd is literally NUCLEAR at this point, as Jeff goes for the pin.. ONE!!! TWO!!! 2 and 999/1000!!!!! Damn, that was a great near fall. But not one to let the advantage slip, JVD stays on the attack, as he puts Tiger down with a Brainbuster, and decides to go up top. JVD misses the Highlight, takes a leg lariat, and gets drilled with a Tilt-A-Whirl Face Buster! Tiger heads up top, and looks for something, but it doesn't matter because Jeff kills him DEAD with a LEAPING SHINING WIZARD in mid-air!! HOT DAMN, he's feeling it tonight!! ONE!! TWO!!! 2.99999999999!! Crowd goes CRAZY, thinking that was it, as we get a replay. Jeff argues with the referee over the count, and rightfully so: Tiger was just a hair's width away from losing. After a jaw-jacking, Jeff Van Damage crosses his arms, and decides that this is OVER. Jeff goes for the CRUCIAL CONFLICT.. only for Tiger to arm drag out of it!! Tiger charges, but runs into the VAN DAMNATION.. yet manages to flip out of that! Tiger goes for a Springboard Bulldog, Jeff tosses him off, but misses the lariat. Tiger goes for the roll-up, Jeff rolls through and snags Tiger into a Reverse DDT, then rolls it over into the DRAGON CLUTCH!!!! TA.. TA.. Tiger grabs the ropes! Jeff pulls him back, Tiger manages to slip away from JVD, and dropkicks him into the corner. He looks for the VERTEBRAINER, but Jeff holds on! He looks for the CRUCIAL CONFLICT, but Tiger slips behind and wraps Jeff up in a roll-up! He CHEATS TO WIN~! using the ropes.. ONE.. TWO.. THREE!!

Fun match, great main event for the house show. Tiger rushes out of the ring, and even laughs at JVD, doing the heel "using my head" motion. Jeff complains to the referee, but gets nowhere. Both guys showing some swank reversals to each others moves, and the LEAPING SHINING WIZARD of death just has to be seen. THese guys turned on the mega-nasty moves, and left the fans in a damn frenzy by the time the three count was delivered. Both of these guys were feeling the juices flowing in this match, but the in the end, it's all about who's DIRTIER! Jeff Van Damage throws this hilarious tantrum post-match, calling the match a "miscarraige of justice" befoe shoving the referee.. and the referee shoves him back! And, in typical heel cowardly fashion, Jeff backs off, making fun of the referee behind his back, of course. End of segment. |
