For us there are so many reasons,
There are times that you may feel,
You are not afraid or worried,
Being proud to wear your hair different,

why a person will loc their hair
Some like the cultural benefits,
or their freedom they can declare
Or to know they have a nice head,
of healthy hair at any length
All you need to wear locs,
is to tap your inner strength
alone with in your choice
When you’re the one in your circle,
wearing locs with a joyful voice
You may not have a network,
who wear their hair in locs
It may be just you on the job,
while others would have you mocked
to go in this direction
You wear your hair so proudly,
which shines in a glowing reflection
For us there are many reason,
why a person will loc their hair
Your definition is your experience,
that will be what you feel and care
is so wonderful to declare
You have your own definition,
how you feel about your hair
And what you will tell others,
about why you wear your locs
Will come from your own experience,
and from deep with in your heart
