Combat Practice in Brooklyn, New York
Contact: Norman kaganate@yahoo.com
Practice is every other Thursday at 8:10 PM in Marine Park.
Further information provided below the map.
This map is a modified version of the image obtained from Map Quest at this URL.
It was altered to provide an aproximate location for the Parking Lot and an arrow indicating practice location. An irrelevant starred location marker which apeared on the original was deleted.

Marine Park is in Southern Brooklyn, close by the Belt Parkway (Exit 11-North - Flatbush Avenue).
Flatbush Avenue and Nostrand Avenue (both of which apear on the map) are your best North-South driving routes (with Avenue U the obvious East-West route).
The "D" or "Q" local Avenue U train station is closest -- with a substantial walk Eastward or a Bus ride to get to the park (the train station is at East 16th Street).

We meet next to the Avenue U parking lot, right next to the road (avenue U) itself. Viewed from the vantage point of the lot, we are just to the right side of the lot. A Red Arrow on the map indicates the aproximate meeting area.

Horse Riding and archery are not possible but any type of foot combat will depend on interest expressed.
Current aproximate practice schedule:
Saber drills using "waster" Sabers (wooden stand-ins).
Play with Practice Sabers and Chinese Practice Swords.
Play with Epee in both "restricted" (SCA-style) and "unrestricted" (cut and thrust) forms.
(see relevant Combat rules section for details).
E-mail the contact if you're interested.
