" One Sister To Another "
I'd like to take your hand and stroll along a country road_ We'd kick up dust and side step a turtle or a flattened toad-
We'd stop along side and pick some wild green plums- We'd see two red cars at the same time and press together our thumbs.
We'd skip over potholes and toss pebbles along the way- Anyone who chanced to see us would be amazed that we are so happy and gay- All in the light of a bright spring day-
Sisters we will always be, Let no one ever doubt_ And sharing things together is what its all about.
The daffodils would bloom - and smell of sweet perfume - We'd call ourselves passing time_ Its a shame it can only happen in our mind. by Mary S. Hymel Copyright © 1986-2000 All Rights Reserved Written for my sister Vickie Burks Not to be copied or reproduced |
