  • Overview

To play Toto, choose at least six numbers from 1 to 45 and match them against the winning numbers drawn. Toto draws take place on Mondays and Thursdays. Six numbers plus one additional number will be drawn. You'll win a prize if your Toto bet matches at least three numbers and the additional number.

    Marking the Bet Slip

Using a 2B pencil or a black/blue ballpoint pen, mark the boxes with a heavy vertical line.

Singapore Toto - How to Play

    Ordinary Entry

The basic entry to the game is Ordinary Entry. Mark six numbers between 1 and 45.

    Ordinary Entry

Mark these boxes only if you are betting system entry. DO NOT mark here for ordinary entries

Mark "Sys 7" (System 7) if you're entering seven numbers for the game.

Mark "Sys 8" if you're entering eight numbers. The same goes for "Sys 9", "Sys 10", "Sys 11" and "Sys 12".

Use a separate bet slip for each type of entry.

Mark "Sys Roll" (System Roll) if you have a set of five numbers for the game and want the computer to assign each of the remaining 40 numbers to your sixth number.

    2 Draws

Mark the "2 Draws" box if you want to buy the same Toto numbers for the current and next draws.

    QuickPick

If you want the computer to pick the numbers for you, ask the retailer for a QuickPick (there's no need to fill in the bet slip). Tell the retailer:

  • your choice of Entry: Ordinary, System (7,8,9,10,11,12) or System Roll;
  • the amount you'd like to bet or how many boards you'd like to buy; and
  • whether you want to bet for one or two draws.

After marking your bet slip, check to make sure that everything is correct before handing over your bet slip to the retailer. Once the Toto ticket is printed, there will be no cancellations or refunds. A ticket will be issued for each bet slip. Check your tickets for any mistakes. Tell the retailer immediately if anything is wrong.

    Bet Costs

One Ordinary Entry for one draw costs $0.50. Since the minimum bet for the Toto Game is $1.00, you have to buy two Ordinary Entries for one draw or one Ordinary Entry for two draws.

The costs of System Entries are as follows:

Note that if you buy Toto by bet amount, the computer will sell the maximum number of boards for the entry type you want, and any remaining amount will be used to buy other entry types. For example, if you want to buy $10.00 worth of System 7, the computer will sell you two sets of System 7 Entries (costing $7.00), and the remaining amount of $3.00 will be used to buy Ordinary Entries.

    When to Place Bets

You can place bets on a single Toto draw or on two consecutive draws.

The sales cycle for placing Toto bets is as follows:

    Prizes

There is a prize pool amounting to 54%* of Toto sales for each draw. The prize pool is distributed among six prize groups.

(* With effect from Draw No. 1873/2004 on 8 Jan 2004, the prize pool will be 54% instead of 54.5% of the total sales of each Toto draw.)

The Group 1 Prize is guaranteed at a minimum of $500,000.00.

You have one winning share when you have one winning Toto combination. If there's more than one winning share for the Group 1 Prize, it will be shared equally among the winning shares. The same goes for Group 2, 3 and 4 Prizes.

If there's no winner in Group 1, 2, 3 and 4 Prizes, the prizes will "snowball" (i.e. added to the prizes of the next draw). The Group 1 Prize will only snowball up to four draws. On the fourth draw, if there are still no winners, the Group 1 Prize will "cascade" - i.e. it will be shared equally among winning share(s) first found in Group 2 Prize. This will go on to the lower prize groups until a winner is found. The Group 2, 3 and 4 Prizes will also snowball until they are won. However, unlike the Group 1 Prize, there's no 'cascading' for Group 2, 3 and 4 Prizes.
