| Here are some ideas I have used. |
| Make rockets by using construction cut in geometric shapes. Each students gets 1 triangle (the tip of the rocket), 1 rectangle (the main part of the rocket), and 1 square that you cut in half diagonally (the wings of the rocket). Glue the pieces on a black piece of paper. Add stars and smoke to your rocket. |
| Make the Earth by using blue and green fingerpaints. Trace a big circle on paper. Use fingerpaints inside circle. Then, have students write something special about the Earth. |

| Bulletin Board idea- Blasting off to space. Have the students write about where they would like to go in space or what they would like to see if they could go in space. Put writing on bulletin board with the picture of student on a rocket. |
