Anne of the Island
I must admit that this is one of my favorite Anne books. (Though, I love them all!) This is for several reasons. One is that it deals with Anne when she is close to my age. She is a little older than me, yet I still can relate to her. Another reason is because it  very romantic! I love the ending and I have read it the most out of all the Anne books!
Anne is off to college with Charlie and Gilbert. There she makes new friends and meets old ones. With them, she lives in a little house called 'Patty's Place' and you will enjoy reading about her time there. Gilbert even asks Anne to marry him in the garden there, but is refused.
This book is full of change and new experiences in life. Even things in Avonlea change. For one thing, Diana is married to Fred and Jane gets married.

Anne of the Island is full of youth and laughter. And you will watch as Anne grows and starts to realize what Gilbert means to her.
