He lived a simple life,
As a carpenter and a
Great teacher to all.
But thru it all was so much strife.
He was scorned and laughed at
As He walked and shared the truth
He traveled many miles on foot
Just to share His Fathers love.
He was a kind and humble man.
He only wanted to help others,
He wanted them to understand
God had sent Him to this land.
There was a reason He had came.
He showed the people Miracles,
But this they could not see.
They were blind, this could not be.
He loved the little children.
All the colors, He did not see
He just saw them as Gods children,
Each and everyone one of them.
He had a few disciples
Twelve to be exact, they followed
Him, but one of those betrayed Him,
Yet him he did forgive.
He did not come to harm us,
He came to give us so much more,
He came to share with us
His everlasting love.
If only we would believe in Him,
As God's only begotten Son.
We could have life everlasting,
From the greatest love of all.
God sent Him to walk among us
For Him to know our every need.
For Him to share our pain, our grief.
But thru him we could find relief~
They put a crown of thorns upon His head
They put a heavy cross upon His back
He had to walk up Calvary's hill
His blood for us He would shed.
They drove nails into His hands
As they placed Him on that cross.
Yet He said forgive them, Father,
For they know not what they do.
Some did cry at the tomb
Others did not care
But three days later
He arose just as He knew He would.
For God had sent His Son
Our sins to be forgiven
As now He walked among us
We knew He had spoke the truth
It is so sad, He suffered so
For all of us to know
His love was true and He
Was God's Son sent to tell us all,
Of a better life, a glorious life
A life everlasting
If only we ask forgiveness
For our sins, and believe in Him!
This is not much to ask, for
All He had to suffer
Can't we all just look up to Him
And say "Jesus Please Forgive Us."
Please don't make this sacrifice
Our God made for us, with love
Go without us knowing
How much He loves us all.
Open up your hearts today
Invite Him to come in
For He is the way
The only way, won't you please believe!
He lives today
He lives within our hearts!
He lives here with us
He lives to set us free~
