John 3:16
A man is as great as the dreams he
dreams,
As great as the love he bears,
As great as the values he redeems,
As the happiness he shares.
A man is as great as the thoughts he thinks,
As the worth he has attained,
As the fountains at which his spirits drink,
As the insight he has gained.
A man is as great as the truth he speaks,
As great as the help he gives,
As great as the destiny he seeks,
As great as the life he lives.
Author Unknown:
Dad was the best father that
anyone could have ever had.
He always worked very hard to
provide for my mother and myself.
He was a kind and caring man
and he was a Christian.
He loved God with all of his heart.
Dad and my mother were married
for 50 years, and on their
Golden Wedding Anniversary,
they renewed their wedding vows.
Dad had the patience of a saint,
and it was a good thing that he did,
because, as he put it--
he lived in a regime of "pettycoat government."
He was referring to my mother and myself.
He was an avid student of the Bible,
and believed and followed the "Holy Word."
He had a wonderful sense of humor
and he loved life.
Dad was ready to meet the Lord.
On the day that he passed away,
he made the statement--"I am going home."
My dad is now in his "eternal home"
and now he knows "the secrets of the ages."
I know that he is in Heaven and
that he is happy and healthy again.
Daddy, This is not goodbye.
This is only "I'll see you later."
I love you, Daddy, with all of my heart.
Thank you Larrie,
