Lord You gave me a Mountain
And Lord I wasn't ready.

Lord I cried and I tried
To do all you ask
So why, yes why,
Did you give me a mountain?

My life is in turmoil
My life is a mess,
I tried to do right Lord
Where did I go wrong?

My life is a struggle
Tho I pray to you each day.
Do you not hear me Lord,
Am I hopeless in you eyes?

Lord you gave me a mountain
One that I cannot climb.
The pathway is slippery,
The climb is too steep.

My life's path is rocky,
My spirit is broke.
This Mountain has a mystery,
I cannot solve.

So Lord I fall to bended knee
To Pray and ask for help.
Is this what you, ask of me?

My child I did not give you
A Mountain, I gave you My life!
So I can help you climb
That Mountain, to reach the very top.

Life sometimes gives you turmoil,
Life gives you many struggles,
But my child I am here.
I will help you climb.

The Mountains My Father gives,
Are of beauty not like the,
Mountains of life.
So child take my hand,
We will climb together.

Believe in Me and I will,
Take you to the top of,
My Fathers Mountain.
Out of the depths of,
Dispair called
The Mountain of life.

God gave me a mountain
One of beauty and great majesty.
The pathway was not steep
Nor slippery or rocky,
For I held the hand of Jesus
As he walked me to the top.

Trust Him he will never,
Let you fall.
He will be right beside you
Each step of the way.
