1959 Riviera 31 Express
..., driving through the marina in Red Wing, MN (pictured above) - in the summer of 2000 Kip spotted a red & black Riviera sitting forlornly on a siding.  Not sure that this was the very same boat, he returned in June a year later (Jeez Kip, don't rush!) and climbed aboard.
Sure enough, all the same decorations and equipment Kip's parents had installed, including a Heath kit marine radio & hailer ("Calling all Roamers") were still on board.
Soon, Kip had his wife Shelley and three daughters busy sanding, fixing holes, painting and cleaning up the interior while he worked on the original 283s, complete with their Chris-O-Matic transmissions.
