Lester was the “Sunshine of Our Lives”.  When we lost him to Chronic Renal Failure in August of 1999, he took a very large piece of my heart with him.  My tears still come when I think of him, but there are smiles now too, as I remember all the happy and wonderful years we shared.  I was truly blessed to have had Lessie in my life.  I got so much from him during our time together…most of all complete and pure love.  I wanted to give something of Lester’s incredible love back to others.  I thought of many ways that I could do this, but decided upon forming a club that would try to help cat lovers and their own beautiful furbabies.  My club at Yahoo, KittyWhiskas, was founded in Lester’s memory and dedicated to him with all my love. Today there are well over a thousand caring and supportive members who belong to KittyWhiskas.  We smile together, laugh together, learn together and cry together.  We are there for each other through good times and through sad times, much like Lessie was always there for me. I think Lester would be very proud.
