William Jacob Rowell and Martha Louella Terrell

William Jacob ROWELL b. March 31, 1849 in Mississippi d. January 25, 1925. *For W.J. ROWELL's death date~on the death stone it has 1925.  On his death certificate it has January 25, 1926 in Wynnewood, Garvin County, Oklahoma. William married Martha Louise or Louella TERRELL b. April 8, 1848 in Mississippi d. July 29, 1930 in Bradley, Grady County, Oklahoma. *For Martha ROWELL's death date~on the death stone it has 1931.  On her death certificate it has July 29, 1930.

This couple is buried in the Lewis Cemetery in Garvin County near Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.  The old settlement is known as Seven Shooter.

Children not pictured are Mattie (married Tenvil Dalton)  and Mary NOTE: I received this picture from my Grandmother Leota and from Joy Rowell.  There is a discrepancy on two in the photo...John and Barnett.  Each has the men swapped. I believe that this is the correct line up after looking at this picture and the picture of Barnett with his wife, Mattie.

Family of Martha Rowell Dalton Picture provided by Joye Rowell Left to Right: Bessie, Martha, Tenvil, Eula, Mattie, Bertha, and Luther. This picture has an insert of Mattie in it.  The picture insert was taken in about 1896.  Mattie died in 1905 after the birth of Mattie.

My great grandfather was Marion Barnett Rowell Marion Barnett was born March 28 1889. He married Martha Ellen Reynolds (AKA Mattie) November 26, 1911 in Walker,Garvin County, Oklahoma He died March 22, 1966 in Hale County, Texas Martha  was born May 18,1895, Tahlequah, Cherokee County, Oklahoma She died Feb 12,1985 in Hale County, Texas Both are buried in the Hale Center Cemetery in Hale Center, Texas.
