A young girl attended a revival at her church, was
saved, and later, at the closing of services, was
baptized. She went home, was so very happy, singing
and dancing all over the house with her new feeling.
Her sour faced grandfather walked into the room,
observing her actions, said "You ought to be
ashamed of yourself! Just joined the church and
singing and dancing on the Lord's Day!" Crushed by
her grandfather's attitude, she slowly walked out
of the house to the barn. She climbed up on the
corral fence, and saw an old mule standing there.
His face was sad and droopy, and bleary looking eyes
with tears coming down his cheeks. As she reached
over and patted the mule, she felt sympathy for him
and said, "Don't cry old mule, I guess you have just
got the same kind of religion that grandfather has!"
There are many verses pertaining to sing and dance in the Bible. Here are only a few of them;
1 Chr 16:23 (KJV) Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; show forth from day to day his salvation.
Psa 13:6 (KJV) I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
Psa 149:3(KJV) Let them praise his name in the dance:
let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp."

~~~It is not the 'sing and dance' that is bad~~ -when done for the Lord, and to glorify Him. When a couple get married, usually there is a dance and this is not evil within itself, if done with respect for the union of two of God's children. There are other instances where dancing is good and 'cheery'
for the person, and even like ballet or tap dancing.
It has been said that the happy people who do laugh are the ones that will live the healthiest and even longest lives. We help our bodies by being cheerful. When we belong to Christ, we should be happy; and
show our glee more by laughing and being joyful. I hope the humor in these pages will bring a laugh or two for you!!
