"My greatest treasure ...." |

It would take me a zillion years to get over your smile I would have to cry a million tears before I can shut the sound of your voice Even if I was born a velvet princess and possessed treasures untold My heart would still be aching and I still would be crying cos' I don'r have the greatest treasure The treasure is you.
Even if I was a queen with beauty so rare Even if I was an angel with a smile none can compare My heart would still be bleeding cos' I still don't have you If you were a prince, I would be your princess If you were Romeo, I would be Juliet If you were a rare fern up on the highest mountain I would scale that mountain to reach you If you were a teardrop, I would never cry so we would never part If you were a flame, I would burn myself so we would become one If you were anything or anyone at all, always I would be beside you
All I need is you All I need is the warmth of your smile All I need are your arms to erase all my pain All I need is your love to make me smile once again So, darling, love, listen carefully to these words That came directly from my heart And give me the greatest treasure ... You.
Note - Okies, it's a tad bit mushy but it wasn't THAT bad, was it??? I will add a couple more soon as soon as I get "inspired". Hey, hey, do I hear a scream of "Nooooooooooooooooo...." there??? |

When the next thump arrives My window exploded open with fragments And the oceans crash in With a flood of emotions Swamping my every senses For a moment There is only the world And me And the horizon infinite A bolt of purple light split the universe With a thunderous clap Leaving the gods howling in a distance Followed by a fleeting pause Of peace and quiet In one last stroke The conductor waves his baton again A strand of violin stretched so high And the air so taut That it finally snaps Letting the leaves fall down from the trees Falling so slowly in a midnight sky Falling back to their mother Falling back Into slumber land ...

Switching off the lights I sat on my bed Waiting intently for the orchestra Hiding in my hi-fi system To play As the conductor raises his baton A bow slides across the double bass Reverberating deeply in my room While nature sighs a breath of silence Through my window pane Through the flute Of music flying soothingly in the darkness His fingers deftly plucking Tugging the strings of the night so lovingly Setting the molecules in the starry sky Dancing of melodic resonance And then, comes the drum Thumping hard across the trembling earth Sending the musical notations jumping Soaring up to the moon And streaking down in rhythmic cascadence Like the silvery rain Bursting forth like flowers on the grass plains |
