Al Martin Raw Imperial State Power in America
Now even US postage stamps will project the supremacy of American Imperial Power into the world. The new 57-cent stamp shows an eagle, which is an exact copy of the symbol of the Waffen SS, which in turn was taken from the Imperial Praetorian eagle of Ancient Rome. This is one of the first in a new series of postage stamps being released by the US Post Office to commemorate the New Age of State Power. According to the Moh's color chart, the color of the stamp used to be called Nordic or Aryan Blue -- before the war. After the war, when those words became politically incorrect, the name of the blue was changed to the more neutral-sounding Icelandic Blue. The stamp portrays an eagle resting on triple-perched pediments. It's a beautifully executed design, if one wants to portray State Power. This eagle is man's most ancient and recognizable symbol of State Power. The seven pediments on the eagle's chevron shaped breastplate represent the seven hills of Rome. The three Ionic columned perch represents Order, Discipline and Obedience, which was the pledge undertaken by the Obsidian Order. Any philatelist would recognize this eagle and any numismatist, who collects Third Reich or Caesarian coins, would also know it. This iconography is not original with the Third Reich, of course, since they borrowed it from the ancient Romans. The symbolism is stark. The Germans also duplicated it during the time of the monarchy in the 18th century. During the subsequent reign of the House of Hohenzollern, you'd see many flags with the expression: Ruhe, Ordnung und Sicherheit (Calm, Order and Security). The eagle then is not only a symbol of imperial power, but of the unity of the State. As long as the State remains unified under the symbol of Imperial State Power, then Calm, Order, Security, Discipline and Obedience will prevail. It took the Romans centuries to squash out dissent. This is a sublime warning for the people to be united under one banner, and that banner is the imperial power of the State. In Ancient Rome, it constituted a warning to any dissidents. To get back to the design, the eagle is perched on the famed triple Ionic column, which was the symbol of the much feared and dreaded Obsidian Order of the Imperial Praetorian Guard, also called the Black Order. Obsidian is a very hard lustrous black stone that has been used for thousands of years. In Ancient Rome, the Obsidian Order was the most elite of the elite Praetorian Guard, containing Caesar's assassins. They specialized in liquidating dissidents. In dress, the only difference between the Obsidian Order and the Praetorian Guard was that their capes, instead of being blue like the Praetorian Guards' capes, were trimmed in black-dyed ermine to symbolize their power. The Obsidian Order was the group, which quietly liquidated those who dissented and any who threatened to tell the truth. On the stamp, this exact same eagle used by the Obsidian Order has neo-romanesque column in the background. This is also the same symbol that Mussolini adopted for the Obsidian Order of the Black Shirts. In the Third Reich, you could say that the counterpart was the Waffen SS. This symbol is often found within the imperial military ranks of dictatorships throughout history. Applying the word "Obsidian" to "State Security" or a "State Elite Military Force" is also a very old tradition. This same Imperial Eagle design on the new US 57-cent State Security stamp will also be used for the triangular arm badges given to those participating in the new Neighborhood Watch program. The Neighborhood Watch program will be distributing $27 street signs and orange and black knit caps as well as arm badges. A new commercial with Ed McMahon, the new Department of Justice spokesman, is advertising this program on TV. He's the pitchman for the Neighborhood Watch and the Civilian Defense Force in the new so-called "public service" announcements. The triangular arm badges are red, white, and blue and the words "Homeland Security" are above and the Imperial State Eagle design is in the center. These are the sinister origins of the symbolism of the Neighborhood Watch program. It's designed to make you react subconsciously. When you look at the stamp close-up, it simply bespeaks of State Power. It says to anyone in the world that whatever country owns this stamp, that this stamp is a symbol of the Power of the State. It is meant to be an internal projection of State power, to serve as a warning to those who would dissent. The funny thing about the Ed McMahon propaganda commercials for the Department of Justice is that you can tell he's hung-over, like he usually is, recovering from his infamous "white ladies." Those are his vodka martinis. He talks about his "white ladies," which he calls his Achilles heels. The commercials, narrated by Ed McMahon, suggest that you cooperate with the Neighborhood Watch Association and the Civilian Defense Force. You will be told how to spot "suspicious" characters or even people you might have known all your life, who are suddenly acting "out of character." Then the camera pans down a row of townhouses, and there's an American flag in front of every house. The voice-over says "inform the authorities of anything you see that's suspicious" and then the camera stops at the one house that doesn't have an American flag flying outside -- and then it continues to pan down the way. Then they show a picture of the Neighborhood Crime Watch representative with his orange and black State Security cap and the triangular Homeland Security Imperial State Power badge, holding a clipboard, smiling and asking questions. Then Mrs. Smith answers the door smiling. But the tenor of this thing - if people can't see through it, there's something wrong with them. They're not just saying this is for anyone "different." They don't even use the term "anyone in the neighborhood you haven't seen before." They even talk about people you've known all your life who are suddenly acting "suspiciously." or "out of character." Another commercial, which is now in production, will show a quiet peaceful neighborhood with American flags plastered everywhere. And everybody's got a George Bush bumper sticker. Then you'll see a troop of seven or eight year old kids coming home from elementary school marching, with their uniforms of white shirts and blouses and blue pants. They have their child's Civilian Defense Force volunteer armbands on and their Good Citizen badges that the local CDF chapter leader gave them. But they're actually marching down the street with big smiles on their faces. And the kid in the front who's leading them is holding up a little American flag. The child will be talking to the commander of the group, who's telling the child about being obedient to your parents and being obedient to your government. And this is what we're coming to. When I was on the Dave Ross show in Seattle, every person who called was appalled and said I would never go along with something like this. And half of them didn't believe me. I told them that for every one of you Seattle suburban liberals that are appalled by this, there is an equal number, if not more from East Nowheresville, Nebraska, that can't wait to go along with it. They're being so blatant about it, the psychology of it. They could never run an ad like this in Western Europe, where you have a more sophisticated citizenry. Here they can literally hit people over the head with it and think that it's sublime propaganda. It's like pounding people on the head with a rubber mallet and saying this is what you have to do with Americans. This is sublime propaganda. If we really wanted to propagandize, we would use a metal hammer. Now we have the New Obsidian Order. And little Johnny, after informing on ten of his friends, has been given his gold Good Citizen's badge by the county CDF rep. The camera closes in on the kid and he's asked, "What are you going to do now, Little Johnny?" And Johnny says, "I'm going to Disney World." If you don't believe it, look at the new 57-cent postage stamp yourself, and we'll explain to you what it means. Look at the new Ed McMahon commercials for the Department of Justice. Start looking for your new triangular State Security street signs. And the orange knit capped people on your street with clipboards. Dave Ross said on the air that he didn't believe that the "sane and rational people" of the Neighborhood Watch Associations would go along with that. And I said, if you give the average downtrodden citizen an orange and black cap that says State Security and a clipboard, a whistle and an armband that puts a little sense of power in their bellies, there's going to be a hell of a lot of people, who not only get into it, but get into it in a big way. It'll go to their heads. If you give the little guy a little sense of power, he's going to run with it; and he's not going to want to give it up; and he's going to do what he's told in order to keep it. That's human nature. Dave said the liberal audience of Seattle would disagree with that. I said all you suburban liberals in Seattle can stick your heads on the sand, until some twelve years old kid dressed up in a uniform and an armband comes along and kicks you in the ass. It's interesting to note how the Bush Administration and its allies in the Pro-Government Media have carefully choreographed the situation regarding the "war on terrorism," more recently even Senator Daschle's speech on how he intimated that he would run for president in 2004. He laid out the Democratic Party agenda and what the plank will for the presidential election -- a platform of fiscal responsibility. He talked about the enormous amount of money the Bush Administration is currently spending on the war on terrorism and homeland security and asked -- is this enormous expenditure warranted -- given the type of foe that we face? After he gave this speech, Fox News immediately went to their 1-800 citizen call-in lines and asked the question -- do you think Senator Daschle is being unpatriotic in questioning the Bush Administration's aims? This is the collusion of Pro-Government Media with the Bush Administration. Daschle was put on the spot and forced to say that he didn't mean that he didn't agree with the war on terrorism. What he meant to say was are we spending too much money on it. He then said that the table of organization of our armed forces is still ordered to fighting a large open field conventional enemy against an equal enemy with massive armor and support. In fact, the Bush Administration is still spending money this way, instead of developing a new military, which is highly mobile, with elite forces, which can be inserted quickly. We are still attempting a military posture as if the Cold War still existed. So there's a discrepancy. When Bush says we're going to spend billions on new high tech weapons and anti-ballistic missile systems, this is not the type of weaponry we need to fight global terrorism. Daschle simply said that spending "fresh," and now "untold," billions on defense is not going to increase our military's capability to fight entrenched insurgent guerilla groups, which after all is what "terrorism" is. The common misperception that the media is "liberal" is obviously untrue because we are in a new era, and have been for some time, of corporate bottom line journalism, in which the media is corporately owned and thus answerable to its shareholders. There is no more genuine political or investigative news. The Bushites have squeezed out of the Republican Party: the Eisenhower moderates, the so-called liberal Rockefeller group, the so-called grass roots Buchananites and the populists, and now we have a wholly new Republican Right, which is different than the stereotypical right of the past. It's not even a right. It's a whole separate agenda which doesn't include social security deficits or paying down the national debt and which is prepared to spend endlessly. It is in fact "corporate socialism" with constant subsidies for the large corporations The question to ask is -- has the Republican Right become the new Socialist Welfare State of America? All industries are being consolidated into tighter oligopolies. Last week the Supreme Court overturned the 30% market restriction law for the media and with the overturning of that law, it is now possible for any media outlet or syndicate to control 100% of print and electronic media market in any given place in the country, which then sanctions and legalizes the monopoly media. This effectively opens the door to a new era of media monopoly, in actuality, a new Pro-Government Media Monopoly. Corporate and government insiders are so intertwined in this that it becomes a New Syndicate of Power. There are plenty of dark clouds on the horizon, and this new stamp is also highly significant. It should be noted that the three columns on the stamp symbolize Order, Discipline and Obedience. The eagle is an exact duplicate of the flag of the Obsidian Order of the Praetorian Guard of Julius Caesar. It is generally considered to be one of the greatest symbols of Imperial State Power that man has ever devised. The design was taken from the flag outside the Imperial Roman Senate. In the background of the stamp, you can see the Roman columns. This is the standard that was hung in front of the Imperial Roman Senate, as the American flag would be hung in front of government buildings today. During Caesar's time, this standard was used extensively. The flag would also be put up in neighborhoods in Rome where there were suspected dissidents. It would be a warning to all citizens that in this block there was a dissident. The Obsidian Order offered a standard reward of thirty Roman silver staters for information about the dissident. And the punishment for Roman citizen dissidents, who were caught criticizing State policy? The Obsidian Order cut their tongues out, so they could not raise their voices against the State again. It should be noted that national identity cards are nothing new either. Roman slaves had identity bracelets called tesserae. This mechanistic eagle design with its bolted wings was adopted in 1928 by Mussolini and subsequently adopted by the Waffen SS. It is very mechanical looking, and it's meant to be that way because the State created it. It is a creation of State industry. It is a symbol of State Power, an industrial manufactured eagle, which rides above all other powers. This stamp is a statement that the State is more powerful than God. It could be the creepiest stamp yet -- since the little man with the

COUNTERPUNCH April 13, 2002 Thoughts On Our War Against TerrorismBy Rep. Cynthia A. McKinney Authorities tell us that the world changed on September 11. As a result, university professors must watch what they say in class or be turned in to the "speech" police. Elected officials must censor themselves or be censured by the media. Citizens now report behavior of suspicious-looking people to the police. Laws now exist that erode our civil liberties. Americans now accept these infringements as necessary to win America's New War. America, the world's only superpower, is stifled in its ability to defend human rights and democracy abroad because it has failed the fundamental test at home. Our combination of money and military might, and our willingness to use them, did not make us a superpower. We are the most powerful nation on the face of the planet because we have combined raw power with American ideals such as dignity, freedom, justice, and peace. These ideas and ideals are admired around the world and are more important, in my view, to our position of global strength than our ability to shoot a missile down a chimney. We might be feared because of our military, but we are loved because of our ideals. Sadly, we have put American goodwill at risk around the world because of an imbalance in our foreign policy that is palpable to even the most disinterested observer. In 1994, after an act of terrorism killed two sitting presidents, the Clinton Administration purposely failed to prevent the genocide of one million Rwandans in order to install favorable regimes in the region. In 1999 Madeleine Albright OK'd a Sierra Leone peace plan that positioned Foday Sankoh as Chairman of the Commission for the Management of Strategic Resources, a position that placed him answerable only to the President despite the fact that his terrorist organization raped little girls and chopped off their hands as it financed its way to power with illegal diamond sales. Jonas Savimbi, recently killed on the battlefield, helped the US protect the minority rule of racists in South Africa and his organization continues to rampage across southern Africa in Angola, Namibia, parts of Congo-Kinshasha, and Rwanda without restriction, financed by illegal diamond sales. The continued plunder of Africa's rich resources without penalty and sadly with the knowledge and support of powerful people in the US, serves as the foundation of the particular terrorism that victimizes Africans. And now, as Africans grapple with the fundamental right to control their own resources and despite United Nations reports making no such links, Bush Administration experts seem prepared to link African diamonds with anti-US terrorism, thus "necessitating" tightened US control over Africa's resources. And so, with no concern at all for the effects on others of US-supported terrorism, the US, with its bombs and military, embarks on a worldwide crusade against terrorism that Bush says likely will last as many as twenty years. The list of target countries is long with Afghanistan, Somalia, Tanzania, Kenya, Sudan, the Philippines, and Iraq offering the starters. But what of the fact that Henry Kissinger and the current new US Ambassador to Afghanistan, Zalmay Khalilzad, both once lobbied Washington, DC on behalf of a US oil company, Unocal, and a softer policy toward the Taliban? Whose war is this really? In November 2000, Republicans stole from America our most precious right of all: the right to free and fair elections. In an organized manner, Florida Governor Jeb Bush and his Secretary of State Katherine Harris created a list of convicted felons--57, 700 to be exact--to "scrub" from the state's voter rolls. The names were created from Florida records and from lists provided by 11 other states, the largest list coming from Texas. We now know that most of the people on that list were innocent of crimes. The list was a phony. And worse, the majority of these rightful voters were people of color and likely Democratic voters. Of the thousands who ultimately lost their vote through this scrub of voters, 80% are African-American. Had they voted, the course of history would have changed: Harris declared Bush the victor by only 537 votes. President Carter has said that the Carter Center would not certify the US 2000 Presidential elections had they had been asked to do so. Consequently, an Administration of questionable legitimacy has been given unprecedented power to fight America's new war against terrorism. Before September 11, two million Americans found themselves behind bars: 80% of them people of color. Millions of Americans are sleeping on the streets of American cities. All over America, unarmed black men are targeted by rogue police officers, who shoot first and ask questions later. While 52% of all black men feel they have been victims of racial profiling, the Supreme Court declines to hear an important case on racial profiling. The Bush Administration totally "disses" the World Conference Against Racism and the people around the world who care about eliminating racism. In February 2001, The United States Commission on National Security, including Newt Gingrich, recommended that the National Homeland Security Agency be established with a hefty price tag. Most people chuckled at the suggestion. After September 11, we have OK'd the targeting and profiling of certain groups of people in America while not arresting in any way the racial profiling and discrimination that existed prior to September 11. Mass arrests, detention without charge, military tribunals, and infringements on due process rights are now realities in America. Even more alarming are the calls in some circles to allow the use of torture and other brutal methods in pursuit of "justice." Sadly, US administration of justice will be conducted by an Administration incapable of it. Interestingly, prominent officials explain to us that September 11 happened because we are free. And "they" hate us because we are free. Moreover, persons close to this Administration are poised to make huge profits off America's new war. Former President Bush sits on the board of the Carlyle Group. The Los Angeles Times reports that on a single day last month, Carlyle earned $237 million selling shares in United Defense Industries, the Army's fifth-largest contractor. The stock offering was well timed: Carlyle officials say they decided to take the company public only after the Sept. 11 attacks. The stock sale cashed in on increased congressional support for hefty defense spending, including one of United Defense's cornerstone weapon programs. Now is the time for our elected officials to be held accountable. Now is the time for the media to be held accountable. Why aren't the hard questions being asked. We know there were numerous warnings of the events to come on September 11. Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, delivered one such warning. Those engaged in unusual stock trades immediately before September 11 knew enough to make millions of dollars from United and American airlines, certain insurance and brokerage firms' stocks. What did this Administration know, and when did it know it about the events of September 11? Who else knew and why did they not warn the innocent people of New York who were needlessly murdered? September 11 erased the line between "over there" and "over here." The American people can longer afford to be detached from the world, as our actions abroad will have a direct impact on our lives at home. In Washington, DC, decisions affecting home and abroad are made and too many of us leave the responsibility of protecting our freedoms to other people whose interests are not our own. From Durban to Kabul to Atlanta to Washington, what our government does in our name is important. It is now also clear that our future, our security, and our rights depend on our vigilance. McKinney's minions march to a different drummer indeedPublished April 21, 2002 It's worse than we thought. Not only is Rep. Cynthia McKinney, D-Ga., possibly a delusional paranoiac, but she has lots of company as well as admirers, not only among America's poor 'n oppressed -- her beloved constituents -- but among certain anti-American individuals and organizations abroad, also known as terrorists. The enemy, indeed, is within. I dislike revisiting a topic so soon -- I wrote a column a few days ago about McKinney's loony charge that George Bush knew about the 9-11 terrorist attacks in advance. By her assertion, Bush effectively is guilty of mass murder and collusion with the enemy, all because he and his pals stood to gain monetarily through defense-related investments. While I'm still confident that most Americans can readily spot a fool, there are enough "folks," to borrow a Bush euphemism, who think she's right to warrant a worried second glance. As one of her defenders wrote me: "Some clear-eyed citizens see this woman as an astute observer of the national scene, and as one who has bravely stepped forward to voice the opinion of millions of us who have been denied a voice since President Bush's selection." Which is to say, the terrorists don't have to win. They've got us working for them. We're the sleep-walking damsel who keeps opening the dadgum basement door even as the audience screams: "No, don't do it. Don't do it!" We know McKinney is in the basement, working her curious magic on the clueless, but we keep tolerating her anyway. My guess is that McKinney has enjoyed immunity from close scrutiny owing to a sense that she's harmless. She's cute and has a big smile, couldn't hurt a flea. She's black, which means people give her a pass lest they be perceived as racist. She's got a bizarrely gerrymandered district that ensures her race-based longevity regardless of qualifications. And she's got people from Decatur to Ramallah believing that Bush not only knew about 9-11, but also was behind it. Another e-mailer, a Holy Land tour coordinator with 25 years experience in the Middle East, said she had just spoken with a friend in Ramallah, who regurgitated McKinney's conspiracy theory. She wrote: "If you see 'Cynth,' kindly tell her that Arab TV networks appreciate her comments for they now have the needed 'proof' that their paranoia is rational." We've got serious problems, and we need serious people, as fictional President Andrew Shepherd said in The American President. And we no longer can afford to tolerate people like McKinney who should never be taken seriously. Can we stifle her? Nope. Can we impeach her, as I half-jokingly suggested in the previous column? Unlikely. But we can and should investigate her as passionately as she demands we investigate Bush's "involvement" in the 9-11 terrorist attacks. We might begin with her campaign contributions, available for public viewing on the Web site of The Center for Responsive Politics, a non-profit, non-partisan group that follows the money. (http://www.open secrets.org/indivs/cgi-win/indivsprofile.exe?H2GA11016) There you'll find names such as Abdurahman Alamoudi, founder and former executive director of the American Muslim Council, who donated to McKinney during the 1999-2000 election cycle. Alamoudi who? Let's roll the tape, provided by the Southeastern Legal Foundation, an Atlanta-based constitutional law firm and policy center that's calling for a congressional investigation of McKinney. Here's Alamoudi at an October 2000 protest of U.S. policies in the Middle East: "I have been labeled by the media in New York as being a supporter of Hamas. Anybody [sic] supporters of Hamas here?" he asked a cheering crowd. "Hear that, Bill Clinton? We are all supporters of Hamas. . . . I wish they added that I am also a supporter of Hezbollah." Hamas and Hezbollah are both on the State Department's official list of terrorist organizations. None of which is to suggest that Cynthia McKinney is a terrorist, or a terrorist sympathizer, or even a socialist rabble-rouser who despises her own country. On the other hand, using McKinney's own talent for inferential dot-connecting, she just might be. Statement of Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney on the 34th Anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.April 10, 2002 One Voice Today is a very special day. A day that for 34 years has lived in infamy. For it is today that we remember the life and the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We reflect on the movement he led. And we lament that his life was cut short in such a despicable way. We now know the fullness of the US government's Counter Intelligence Program, known as COINTELPRO, organized against Black America. The FBI's own documents tell us that the purpose of its COINTELPRO program is "to expose, disrupt, misdirect, discredit, or otherwise neutralize the activities of black nationalist" groups, organizations, and leaders. We now know about Operation Lantern Spike in which US Military Intelligence tracked every step that Dr. King took. And of course, to spike a lantern is to snuff out its light. Dr. King was the light. We now have FBI testimony that FBI agents knew who Dr. King spoke with, where he went, what he said, and even what he thought during every hour of every day of the last few months of his life. But of course, at the moment when the lantern was spiked, the FBI and the US government would have us believe that they were not watching him and have no information to give as to his murder. Today, we must remember. We must remember so that we will never forget. So that we never forget the lengths and depths to which even the most widely proclaimed democracy on the planet will go to get its man or woman. And if you have any doubts about what I say, just ask the families of Patrice Lumumba and Salvador Allende. Lumumba was murdered by the CIA and Belgium in The Congo. Allende was murdered in Chile in an action sanctioned by Henry Kissinger, himself. Just ask our American freedom fighters who were tortured, killed, unfairly put in jail because of their political beliefs and their willingness to act on those beliefs. Just ask the American citizens who were murdered as a result of FBI-initiated terror--like Fred Hampton who was drugged by an FBI informant and then shot three times in his bed by Chicago police who were cooperating with the FBI. Just ask Geronimo Pratt who served 27 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. Just ask the FBI agents who celebrated the factional splits created by them that led to the murder of Malcolm X. Just ask Leonard Peltier who is still in prison today because he dared to fight back in the FBI's war against Native Americans. And despite being in prison for more than 26 years and in ill health, Leonard Peltier is still fighting back. Corretta Scott King and even the judge in the case, Judge Heaney, now support Peltier's release because of FBI misconduct. So today, on the anniversary of the murder of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Leonard Peltier has filed a lawsuit against the FBI alleging that the FBI "engaged in a systematic, and officially sanctioned campaign of misinformation and disinformation" designed to prevent Peltier from receiving fair clemency and parole reviews. Just ask Judy Bari and Darryl Cherney, the environmental activists, (Judi is now dead) who the authorities say hurt themselves trying to place a bomb in their own car. It has now become clear, however, that the government falsified evidence, lied to the media and the courts, and conspired to frame and demonize Judi and Darryl for political reasons. Just ask Wen Ho Lee, Chinese American targeted and falsely accused of spying on the United States for China. In Wen Ho Lee's case, the judge condemned US government behavior. And just ask the families of the thousands of Muslims and Arab Americans who have been detained on secret evidence, no evidence, no charges. Ask the family of Pakistani-American Mohammad Butt who recently died while in US custody. So, today, we come here more knowledgeable than at any point in the past, of the power of the forces arrayed against us. And yet, still we come: Black and White; Christians, Muslims, and Jews; immigrants and native-born Americans; rich and poor. To chart a new course for our communities and for America. In the fight against bigotry, we stand together and we must. In the fight against injustice, we stand together and we must. In the fight against intimidation, we stand together and we must. Afterall, a regime that would steal an election right before our very eyes will do anything to all of us. In cities across America, rogue police officers are getting away with . . . You can see it for yourself. Abner Louima is not just a name in the newspaper or on the television. Abner Louima is a man. A black man. And he represents all of us who might find ourselves in the hands of rogue police. Yesterday, it was Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Today it's Abner Louima. Tomorrow who will it be? There doesn't have to be a tomorrow. But until we hold them accountable for all the crimes they commit against people of color and activist whites, there will be a tomorrow. And it could be one of us. That's why tonight is so important. Because tonight we stand with one voice against injustice. Tonight we are not black or white. We are not rich or poor. We are not Jew, Muslim, or Christian. We are Americans united for what is right. Because we know that in this environment, no one is safe. If you're rich, you might think your money will save you. But like Winston Churchill said, you can all try one by one to ride the tiger, but one by one, you'll all be caught--caught up in its jaws and end up inside. Only our unity will save us. And for those who might be afraid to have their voices heard tonight, just imagine the courage of the black woman who uttered these words in 1831: Live for your rights and privileges. You know the reason you cannot attain them. Weary them with your importunities. You can but die if you make the attempt. And we shall certainly die if you do not. Let us acknowledge that the movement lives within us and that we will not tire until justice in America means more than "just us." And that united we will stand until America is free. Thank you.
By JOHN MOULTON MEMPHIS --A notarized statement by Daniel Ellsberg, released to The News-Sentinel Saturday night by James Earl Ray's attorney, Mark Lane, states flatly that an aide to UN Ambassador Andrew Young told Ellsberg, "We know there was a conspiracy (to kill Dr. Martin Luther King) and we know who did it." Ellsberg's affidavit claims he was told there was definitely FBI involvement in the murder. Lane said the 44-page affidavit by Ellsberg, who gained worldwide attention by leaking the now-famed Pentagon Papers secrets, will be one of the chief pieces of evidence used in seeking a new trial for Ray. The completed text of the affidavit was signed and notarized in San Francisco Oct. 20. In the statement, Ellsberg tells of a conversation he had with ,y~on Brady, the young aide, in June. I-M .said Tyson tokl Brady the conspiratms included a group of off-duty and retired FBI officers w0rking under the directin of J. Edgar Hoover, who was head of the, FBI in 19 when Dr. King was shot to death m Memphis. Ellsberg's statement says that Tyson told him it is believed that the group had a "sharp-shooter who actually did the shooting. To hear this presentation, as an absolute fact from someone in the U.S. government was startling. Lane also had a statement he said was made by Rev. James Lawson, a Los Angeles minister who married James Earl Ray and Knoxville free-lance artist Anna Sandhu last month. Ray is serving a 99year prison sentence for the slaying of Dr. King. However, the statement was 'not signed by Rev. Lawson. Lane said Lawson is sending him a similar, notorized statement. The affidavit from Ellsberg said that Tyson claimed to have knowledge of the King murder through conversations with Rep. Walter Fauntroy, 'chairman of the House Assassination~ Committee. He said told him investigators believe they the names. Ellesberg was reported to be in Colorado Saturday night and could not be for comment. Ellesberg said he assumed the information would come out at U.S. House Select Committee on Assassinations hearings on Dr. King's shooting, and that when it didn't he approached Lane. In another development Saturday night, Michael Eberhardt, the house committee's assistant chief deputy counsel, resigned to show his dissatisfaction with the panel'a decision not to recall Ray. Lane also said he will have additional affidavits soon, including one in which Rep. Fauntroy contends he was approached by CIA agents, who told him they would help provide him information about the FBI involvement in the King death if Rep. Fauntroy would promise not to delve into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Tyson, reached at his New York City residence, said, "I will deny under oath that I said I knew who did It." He said he was speculatingwtth Ellsberg on who might have killed King and expressed his personal theory that the FBI conducted the assassination. He said he has had a "couple of conversations with Walter (Fauntroy)" about the House assassination investigation. However, he said nothing specific was discussed. He said he has heard that Fauntray's life has been threatened, but did not gain the information from Fauntroy. He said that he and others believe that the possible FBI involvement in King's death needs further investigation.
KOFI ANNAN AND UNITED NATIONS ARE STAINED WITH BLOOD(Extensions of Remarks - November 16, 2001) HON. CYNTHIA A. McKINNEY OF Mr. Speaker, now I think I've just about seen and heard everything: Kofi Annan and the United Nations being announced as joint recipients of this year's Nobel Peace Prize. I'm not saying there wasn't a time in the UN's history when it wasn't deserved. What I'm saying is I don't believe it's deserved right now. Instead, I believe that to award the UN and Kofi Annan now amounts to an insult to the millions that have died at the hands of the United Nations in recent years. Mr. Speaker, Kofi Annan and the United Nations are stained with the blood of millions of dead people. Let me tell you about some of their recent failures. Let me start with their greatest failure--Rwanda. The 1994 Rwandan genocide must amount to one of the greatest humanitarian failures of any generation. Kofi Annan was the Director of UN Peacekeeping based in New York and was personally responsible for the UN Peace Keeping force in Rwanda. The now famous informant Jean Pierre had warned Dallaire and the UN leadership of the coming mass slaughter but his information was cavalierly dismissed. Tragically, as had been predicted, Rwanda exploded into an orgy of violence the likes of which the last century had never seen. At the end of 100 days an estimated 1,000,000 Rwandan men, women, and children had been bludgeoned, macheted, and axed to death. The daily death rate was five times that of the Nazi industrial death camps. Instead of reinforcing the UN contingent in Kigali, the UN actually ordered the withdrawal of their troops. It was then that the killing in Kigali exploded. Of course, the US bears much of the blame for the UN's inaction. * And now the much-celebrated International Tribunal for Rwanda has become yet another UN bureaucratic disaster. Repeated UN investigations have found widespread mismanagement, wastage, incompetence, and corruption. The Tribunal has prosecuted a fraction of the Rwandan genocide suspects it holds in custody. It has even been criticized by its own Appeal Court of prosecutorial incompetence and failing to observe elementary due process considerations. Sadly, the Tribunal, which should have brought justice to the region, has instead become another multi-million dollar UN boondoggle. Srebrenica, a name now associated with one of the worst crimes in Europe since WWII or as Judge Riad of the ICTY described it, ``..... a place where thousands of men were executed, hundreds buried alive, men and women mutilated and slaughtered, children killed before their mother's eyes, and a grandfather was forced to eat the liver of his own grandson.'' These are truly scenes from hell written on the darkest pages of human history. The UN created a safe haven in Srebrenica and encouraged civilians to enter en masse so as to be under UN military protection. Only one condition applied--entry into the UN safe haven required Muslim fighters to surrender their weapons. This they did, hoping that if ever the need arose they would get them back. They were to be sorely disappointed on that score. * When it became apparent that General Mladic was separating the men from the women and then killing them in the nearby fields, the Dutch UN troops began pleading for UN military support. But, just like Rwanda, the UN leadership once again became paralyzed and failed. They dithered over air strikes, they refused to send in troops to help the beleaguered Dutch and in the end, just as with Rwanda, the UN withdrew their troops. This permitted General Mladic to remove an estimated 5,000-8,000 Muslims from in and around the UN compound in Potocari and slaughter them. * To this day the United Nations and no UN official has ever been held criminally or civilly liable, let alone even publicly admonished, for their massive failures in Srebrenica. All the families of the thousands of victims can do now is pick up the pieces of their broken families and attempt to restart their lives. * Mr. Speaker, sadly there is more. * East Timor. In late August 1999, the UN and now Secretary General Annan, called for elections on the small island country of East Timor despite disturbing evidence that hard line elements in the Indonesian military were preparing to cause wide spread public disorder so as to disrupt the elections. The UN failed to provide adequate protection for the civilian population. Dili was burnt to the ground and East Timor was engulfed in violence. After weeks of killing and millions of dollars of damage, the Australian government sent in ground troops to restore order to East Timor; but by then, it was too late to save East Timor from UN bungling. * Sierra Leone. So bad was the UN's conduct in Sierra Leone in June 2000 that their long time supporter and friend, Medicins Sans Frontieres, felt compelled to speak out and complain. MSF complained bitterly that the UN troops fled a RUF attack on the Sierra Leonean town of Kabala. * In so doing MSF said that the UN had failed its mandate to protect civilian populations, many of whom were sick women and malnourished children in the MSF hospital. * Cambodia. There is now mounting evidence that UN Peacekeeping troops actually caused an explosion of AIDS in Cambodia in 1992. In January of this year Richard Holbrooke, the then US Ambassador to the UN, launched an unprecedented attack upon the UN during his last UTN address saying ``..... it would be the cruelest of ironies if people who had come to end war ..... were spreading the most deadly of diseases ..... it will kill more people and undermine more societies than even the most critical conflicts we discuss here.'' And despite Ambassador Holbrooke's warnings there are concerns that right now in East Timor UN staff could be causing yet another AIDS epidemic. Some things just never seem to change. * Mr. Speaker, let me put it squarely on the record. I believe in the UN. I believe that our country should support the UN. But I do not think that we should blindly lend our support in the face of massive negligence. * I think answers to these questions beg to be asked: * After such repeated UN failures to act upon knowledge of impending humanitarian disasters, what forgiveness? * After such repeated UN failures to discharge their sacred duties, what accountability? * After such ongoing complicity by the UN in repeated slaughters, what punishment?

In other words its purpose is to create- - THE PRODUCT As you are aware, the economy is constantly put on a pedestal by the government, and others, as being of utmost importance. This is to be wholly concurred with; however, let us think "Out of the Box" for a moment- - Have you noticed that in school there is a strong push to program you for a career? A thought is posed: Why must the average person have to work and toil their whole life until so-called retirement? Of course, over the past half century women have also been pushed into such career situation. /1/ Why do you think this is? Why must everyone have to work full time per se? Could not one have his own land (with a home) that is his and paid for (or inherited) in a reasonably short period of time early on in life. Would he then not only need to pay for the bare necessities?. . . and then- Enjoy life thereafter? Of course such case is not the case for most Americans. It appears that the "Debt Cycle" never ends for them. . . Why do you think that is?. . . that is- Besides addiction to Materialism. This is a query that leads us to the crux of the problem. The purpose of perpetual debt is to create "The Product" called profit or gain (i.e. interest). To effectually create "The Product" (interest) people (the public) have to be in perpetual debt; thus "The Product" is then created. Accordingly, people are enslaved by such debt; thus all people have to be working or the article we refer to as "The Product" cannot be procured. To enslave the people in a stealthy manner, a plan has to be cunningly devised. To devise such a plan several parameters have to be invoked. Of course, the "World Elite" (also referred to as THEY) are the ones that are receiving "The Product", thus it would stand to reason that they are the ones with the resources, and the money and power we might add, to initiate- - THE VEHICLE To explain what is being established, in this presentation thus far, is an "Economic Food-Chain" of sorts. This "Food Chain" is created by natural social structure/order. Of course the World Elite (the big fish) are naturally going to exploit (consume) the lower classes (the smaller fish). So- Why is "The Vehicle" needed?. . . To create "The Product" of course. Without these two important factors present, tacit slavery cannot be sustained. The best way to evidence "The Vehicle" is to illustrate the following quote- - "Give me control over a nation's currency, and I care not who makes its laws." Unascertained by most Americans, the Federal Reserve System (The Vehicle) is a Privately Owned Bank System with several private investors (whom are World Elitists). This may foster your query- - Firstly, as to the former question, the person who controls the currency can control the people. Because the Federal Reserves money is not backed with any substance (as it is based on book entries), the currency can be easily jockeyed; thus, once the people are dependent on the system, they are effortlessly enslaved to the owners of such system. Secondly, as to the latter question, Rothschild, and the likes of him, understood that there would be plenty of people who were inherent rulers- that is to say, people that had dictatorial traits. Thus he was not worried about such factor. He knew that such tools would naturally succeed and also become enslaved by the imposed system. Accordingly, they too would be able to be controlled like everyone else. At this juncture, many people may understand what is transpiring. Because history does repeat itself, the World Elite are actually neo-moneychangers. They could be looked at as the same ones which are found in the Bible. The exclusive goal of the World Elite (big fish/moneychangers) was to create interest (The Product). To create interest (The Product), first their money system (The Vehicle) had to be installed. After that was complete, an Income Tax could then be implemented (thus THEY would perpetually be feeding off the smaller fish). To bring the "Economic Food-Chain" (The System) into existence, the World Elite need a source which to procure "The Product" from "The Vehicle". As inferred above, that source is to be considered- - THE TOOLS For "The Product" to be efficiently procured for the World Elite, the administrators of "The System", or "The Tools", are essential to control, and furthermore, to appease the masses (or smaller fish). You ask. . . How is this accomplished? To appease "The Tools", the upper echelon (the government, or the ruling class- most of which are lawyers) are given the knowledge of law; thus, such tools enjoy true freedom under natural law; the masses (or smaller fish) do not. Consequently, there are two sets of rules- One Set of Rules for "The Tools"; and- One Set of Rules for the masses (or smaller fish). Firstly- As established in the Coalition's introduction, our presentation is based on Law; hence you are to be conscience that- - The Law is actually "The Rules". Secondly- Please take note that there is fundamentally more than one constitution in American law which manufactures and sets forth the two sets of rules . In due course, the World Elite need "The Tools" to initiate- - THE DEAL To propagate Americans to submit to unknowing servitude, they are offered a deal from the government (run by tools- cognizant and uncognizant). To accomplish this feat, the masses (or smaller fish) must be appeased. Accordingly, they are offered government doles; in other words they are given government handouts, such as social security, loans, etc., etc.. The deal of which we speak, is the deal which was issued by the 32nd President of the United States de facto, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He issued the American people the "New Deal". Roosevelt, without any doubt, was a puppet (tool) of the World Elite . At the time Roosevelt became President, "The Vehicle" (money system) was already in place. In fact, at that time there were two money systems in place; 1) The Constitutional money system, which was based on Gold and Silver; and, 2) The money system that was based on thin air, which was implemented by the World Elite (the moneychangers). Just before the "Great Depression" a large number of the 'money based on thin air' was dumped into circulation; this caused hyper-inflation, which in turn caused the Great Depression. You should wonder why it was dubbed the "Great Depression" and not the Big Depression, Depression of '29, etc.. Its given title is evidence of the ones who caused it to be proud of what they had accomplished- as being "Great". Such accomplishment was executed to get the masses (or smaller fish) to submit to Roosevelt's "New Deal". Americans were willing to accept as they were devastated by the inflicted economic genocide. The Social Security dole was just sales tool to effectually harvest "The Product" (Interest). Further, to create "The Product" Americans have been told that war creates a good economy. If one would use common sense, wars create tremendous debt; and most importantly, such devices murder people. Most wars of the 20th century have been sold as fighting a foreign bogeyman, the most prominent one being the so-called Cold War (Communists). Other such wars encompassed the purpose of humanitarianism. The income tax was needed to pay for all the war debts that were inflicted. Such wars were World War I and World War II; and all subsequent wars thereafter. Actually the World Elite intentionally created these wars to solidify their system of "Funny Money" which is currently in place in America. It was of purpose to protect the American republics (people) from the Union State (the federal government) as created by the organic Constitution. To follow, as a legitimate part of the organic Constitution, were the Eleventh, Twelfth and Thirteenth Amendments; Thirdly, a New Federal Government was installed by the fourteenth amendment after the Civil War; it also installed new state governments. It created a whole new political system which was fundamentally adverse to the law of nations and the Constitution. The fourteenth amendment is one of the so-called reconstruction amendments; all which are numbered the 13th, 14th and 15th. The Fourteenth Amendment is somewhat a constitution in itself; actually the fourteenth amendment and the organic Constitution work concurrently to make a Government De facto. Every amendment after the fourteenth is representative of the new government which is installed by insurgency . Yes, the Civil War is where "The Contract" with the people was broken. The constitutional government[s], as set fourth by the founding fathers, are not currently in place. They have not been operational since the Civil War. You have been living a lie. The Fourteenth Amendment creates citizens that are beholding to the federal government (State) over their republic (state) . The term "Democracy" is just a buzz-word which is used for the totalitarian (socialist) system of government which is currently in place. Lenin, the communist leader of Russia; accordingly, the name of the manual was entitled- A Synthesis of the Russian Textbook on Psychopolitics. /1/ Ergo- - COMMUNISM in America. Oh, by the way, now you can be told who said- -"The surest way to overthrow an existing social order is to debauch the currency."- - such was stated by V. I. Lenin, communist leader- A Tool of the World Elite. Same plot-different part of the world. Such so-called communist methods were used (by THEY) to debauch our currency to implement "The Vehicle", thus imposing the current system of monetary servitude on Americans; a system which includes the income tax- more Communist dicta. So-called communist operatives were in America fulfilling their agenda during the whole part of the 20th century via the fourteenth amendment. You may have noticed in the past several years that the phrase "Human Resource Department" has replaced "Personnel Department" in the work place. BBC News Oklahoma race victims winEntire sections of Tulsa were set alight in the riots Officials in the US state of Oklahoma have recommended paying compensation to the survivors of one of the country's worst race riots 80 years ago, in which up to 300 black people were killed by white people.
A commission presented its recommendations in a final report to the state governor and members of the legislature on Wednesday. A decision on the commission's findings must be taken before the end of the current session of the legislature in May. There are about 120 people still alive who are known to have lived through the race riots in Tulsa in 1921. 'Act of shame' The 200-page report makes several recommendations:
A memorial has been authorised, but the Oklahoma legislature remains split over the issue of compensation. Oklahoma City Governor, Frank Keating, described the events as "an act of shame and embarrassment". "This is an unforgivable and unexplainable part of our state history," Mr Keating said during a brief ceremony at the state Capitol.
Mr Keating said if the report showed the direct culpability of the government, then he would support compensation for the survivors. What happened The May 1921 violence broke out when a white mob clashed with an African-American crowd trying to prevent the lynching of a black man who had been accused of assaulting a white woman. Entire sections of the city were set alight, including the area known as the Black Wall Street of America. Amid reports that as 300 people were killed in the riots, the commission puts a figure of 39 documented deaths, 26 of them blacks. As many as 1,000 homes and business premises were destroyed in the thriving Greenwood district. Survivor Otis Clark, a child at the time, described the devastation he and his mother found after returning to Tulsa following their escape from the city.
"Everything was burned down. My home was burned. My step daddy was gone... They did not let us have funerals or nothing... ," he told reporters. Investigation For decades, the events barely got a mention in history books, and were played down for fear they would damage Tulsa's reputation. But in the last few years, historians have uncovered the true extent of the riots and campaigners have worked to win reparations for those involved. The Tulsa Race Riot Commission was established to investigate their claims. Tulsa has spent years trying to come to terms with what happened there, and correspondents say this decision may help residents draw a line under the events of 1921. |

Friday, July 9, 1999 Published at 18:50 GMT 19:50 UK BBC News - World: Americas Historians search for race riot truthIt is thought to have been America's worst incident of racial violence By the BBC's Jane Hughes in Tulsa Under an intense blue sky stretching over the Midwestern American prairies, the gravestones in Tulsa's Oakland cemetery shimmer silently in the midday sun. But the quiet of the scene hides what is now believed to be one of the darkest secrets in the history of American race relations. Up to 300 people are thought to have been buried here, in mass, unmarked graves; victims of a riot which the city has long tried to forget. For decades, the events of May 1921 were brushed under the carpet by a city desperate to protect its reputation. Now, nearly 80 years on, historians are trying to uncover the truth about what is thought to have been America's worst ever incident of racial violence. A search for remains is underway using Ground Penetrating Radar. Excavations are expected to begin in the next few months. It was on 31 May 1921 that trouble broke out. A black shoeshine man was accused of attacking a white female lift operator, and was locked in the city's courthouse. Within hours, a white lynch mob had gathered and was marching on the black section of the city. Burning memories George Munro remembers it as if it was yesterday. "At five-years-old, I thought the world was on fire," he recalls. He saw a gang of men carrying flaming torches approaching his family's home, and was dragged under the bed by his sisters. He watched as the men marched past his hiding place. "These men, they came in and set the curtains on fire, and set everything on fire," he says. As they left, one of them stepped on his hand. He started to cry out, but his sister clapped a hand over his mouth, muffling his cries and saving his life. The mobs burned thousands of homes to the ground, reducing black Tulsa to heaps of rubble. For the last three quarters of a century, Mr Munro, as with almost everyone else involved, has kept his memories to himself. Fearful of what the race riot would do to Tulsa's reputation as a booming frontier town, the authorities hushed it up. The official death toll was just 36. The local papers barely gave it a mention, anxious to let a painful wound heal. Commission seeks truth But now the wound is being reopened. A state legislator from Tulsa's black community, Don Ross, has led a drive to confront the ugliest moment in his city's history. He has secured $50,000 to fund the Tulsa Race Riot Commission, which is now seeking to uncover the truth about the riots and the number of casualties. "What is remarkable is that everyday Tulsans are trying to grapple with what was really a holocaust in their midst," says historian Scott Ellsworth. "I think it's very important that Tulsa is trying to deal with this now." The commission may consider reparations for the dwindling number of survivors of the riots. But for people like George Munro, it is more important to set the historical record straight.
Tulsa panel seeks truth from 1921 race riotCommission to recommend if survivors should be compensated August 3, 1999 Web posted at: 3:48 p.m. EDT (1948 GMT) TULSA, Oklahoma (CNN) -- Beulah Smith and Kenny Booker, two elderly Oklahomans, lived through one of the worst race riots in U.S. history, a rarely mentioned 1921 Tulsa blood bath that officially took dozens of African-American lives, but more likely claimed hundreds. Perhaps even thousands. The Tulsa Race Riot Commission, formed two years ago to determine exactly what happened, will consider next week the controversial issue of what, if any, reparations should be paid to the known survivors of the riot, a group of less than 100 that includes Smith, now 92, and Booker, 86. 'The gun went off, the riot was on' On the night of May 31, 1921, mobs called for the lynching of Dick Rowland, a black man who shined shoes, after hearing reports that on the previous day he had assaulted Sarah Page, a white woman, in the elevator she operated in a downtown building. A local newspaper had printed a fabricated story that Rowland tried to rape Page. In an editorial, the same newspaper said a hanging was planned for that night. As groups of both blacks and whites converged on the Tulsa courthouse, a white man in the crowd confronted an armed black man, a war veteran, who had joined with other blacks to protect Rowland. Commission member Eddie Faye Gates told CNN what happened next. "This white man," she said, asked the black man, "'What are you doing with this gun?'" "'I'm going to use it if I have to,'" the black man said, according to Gates, "and (the white man) said, 'No, you're not. Give it to me,' and he tried to take it. The gun went off, the white man was dead, the riot was on." Truckloads of whites set fires and shot blacks on sight. When the smoke lifted the next day, more than 1,400 homes and businesses in Tulsa's Greenwood district, a prosperous area known as the "black Wall Street," lay in ruins. Today, only a single block of the original buildings remains standing in the area. The official death toll was below 100, most of them black, but there was always doubt about the actual number. Experts now estimate that at least 300 people, and perhaps as many as 3,000, died. 'We're in a heck of a lot of trouble' Beulah Smith was 14 years old the night of the riot. A neighbor named Frenchie came pounding on her family's door in a Tulsa neighborhood known as "Little Africa" that also went up in flames. "'Get your families out of here because they're killing niggers uptown,'" she remembers Frenchie saying. "We hid in the weeds in the hog pen," Smith told CNN. People in a mob that came to Kenny Booker's house asked, "'Nigger, do you have a gun?'" he told CNN. Booker, then a teen-ager, hid with his family in their attic until the home was torched. "When we got downstairs, things were burning. My sister asked me, 'Kenny, is the world on fire?' I said, 'I don't know, but we're in a heck of a lot of trouble, baby.'" Another riot survivor, Ruth Avery, who was 7 at the time, gives an account matched by others who told of bombs dropped from small airplanes passing overhead. The explosive devices may have been dynamite or Molotov cocktails -- gasoline-filled bottles set afire and thrown as grenades. "They'd throw it down and when it'd hit, it would burst into flames," Avery said. Unmarked graves Many of the survivors "mentioned bodies were stacked like cord wood," says Richard Warner of the Tulsa Historical Society. In its search for the facts, the commission has literally been trying to dig up the truth. Two headstones at Tulsa's Oaklawn Cemetery indicate that riot victims are buried there. In an effort to determine how many, archeological experts in May used ground-piercing radar and other equipment to test the soil in a search for unmarked graves. The test picked up indications that dozens, if not hundreds, of people may have been buried in an area just outside the cemetery. Further tests will be conducted, but there are no plans to excavate the area. The Tulsa commission is scheduled to release its final report on the riot in January. For many of the survivors, the issue is not money -- they want an apology. "We were innocent," Booker said. "We didn't do anything to start this race riot."
