You can understand how it happens. You don't keep track of something for approximately 30 years and then when you look for it, it's nowhere to be found. :(

That's where we find ourselves today, over the years we've lost touch with many of our fellow handlers and are having trouble locating them. And not only US Navy K-9, all the former dog handler units are experiencing the same problem.

There are several reasons for this other then just the main one of the intervening time. Some don't know of the VDHA, this web site, or the fact that we are looking for them, those are the ones we're trying to get the word out to.

Note:
Others have tried to forget Viet Nam and their experiences there. If this is their goal, we support them and wish them well. We certainly don't want to take anyone anywhere they don't want to go.

The following is a listing of the Navy Doghandlers we know of that we have been unable to locate. Certainly there are other handlers that are not included in this list.
If you know how to contact any of these men,
If you know of names that should be included but are not,
If you can complete any of the information where we're currently showing question marks, or
If you see any other errors, (i.e. spelling),
we'd appreciate your getting that information to us.

Of course, this page and site are oriented around former US Navy Doghandlers, but if you know a former Viet Nam era dog handler from another service have them contact, or get the information to, the VDHA. It would be appreciated, I'm sure.
