Thunder was born into a litter of seven on November 16, 1993. His Sire is CH. Karnovanda Kandykare Shaman and his Dam is CH. Krilak's Arctic Pandie Bear. Thunder was a grey and white male with bi-eyes, his right eye being blue and his left being brown. He had a fantastic personality and an excellent temperment. Thunder was shown for the first time when he was six months old in Grand Falls N.B. The next show we attended was in Renous N.B. in September 1997 where he earned his first three points. In October 1997 he took five points including fourth in group in Bathurst N.B. We were so proud of our boy! The last show we attended with our beloved Thunder was in Fredericton N.B. in June 1998, where he earned his last point giving him a total of nine points. Unfortunately, he never had the chance to get his final point to give him his Canadian Champion title because he developed tumors on his liver, and with extremely heavy hearts, we had to put him down on March 5th, 1999. Although we have three other sibes, Thunder was one of a kind and he was our only boy, our "Paw", our Thunder, and with his passing it has left a huge void in our lives. Every morning he would greet us with his special "good morning" by standing on his hind legs in the kennel and "whoo, whoo" at us saying, "morning mama and pa!" When Adam would leave for school, he'd howl as Adam walked to the bus as if to say, "have a good day kid!" Adam competed in his first Junior Handling competition in Fredericton in June 1998 with Thunder and he took second! I really think that Thunder was as proud of Adam as Adam was of Thunder. Adam didn't have to bait or stack him... It was as if Thunder knew that it was Adam's first time out and he tried to make it as easy as he could for Adam. Perry and Thunder shared a special bond. Although he was "our boy", it was Perry that Thunder would do anything for. He was truely one of a kind and he'll be forever missed and NEVER forgotten. We take pride in knowing that Thunder came from the first litter we ever bred and he'll always be our "home bred champion!" With nine points or none,,,, we loved him with all our hearts. We take comfort in knowing that Thunder is in Heaven and when the wind blows across my cheeks, it is like a kiss from Thunder because now he runs free with the wind.

As you may have noticed,, it is mentioned in a couple of pictures that Thunder has a son. We were fortunate enough to have bred him to CH. Krilak's Arctic Pandie Bear in 1996 and he Sired a litter of six healthy pups and Laskatoo's Thundering Wolf is one of those pups. |

I hope you have enjoyed this tribute to our "Paw" as much as I did putting it together. Here's something to think about.
Do you have a best friend that you can pour your heart and soul out to and know that your thoughts will go no furthar than their ear? Do you have a best friend that knows when you are feeling down and blue and will cheer you up? Do you have a best friend that always treats you with kindness and respect? Do you have a best friend that is there to lend their shoulder to cry on no matter what time of day or night? Do you have a best friend that would give their life for you? Do you have a best friend that would do anything for you and expect nothing in return? A best friend is hard to find,,,,, unless you have a dog. They are truely your best friend! Give your dog a hug and kiss today,,,your best friend deserves it! |
