Steve Miner started off in his career with the controversial "Last House on the Left", as a Production and Editing Assistant. It would be fair to say, that he has had recent success due to his colleagues and friend's Wes Craven and Sean Cunningham. They certainly gave him a brilliant starting point in the film industry with the cult success of "Last House", and because of Wes and Sean, Miner has continued to work in the field. He has now become a highly prolific Hollywood director, and his work is quite notable. He directed the first two sequels to "Friday the 13th", made the definitive "Halloween: H20" in 1998, and has since made box office blockbuster "Lake Placid". These, among other rather successful films, have cemented him into the movie industry. |

Steve was a key force in the making and production of "Last House on the Left". As well as being a production assistant with Sean Cunningham, Miner spent a lot of time in the editing room with Wes Craven. The editing was a very stressfull job indeed, but the overall impact of the film depended a lot on the timing of this editing. Steve was a valuable addition to the crew, and even made a brief cameo appearance. |
