Roger's Page
Birth - 12 yrs
WROTE BY HIS
MOTHER
Roger is the youngest of three children and
will always be my baby. Now you have to remember this is Mom trying to give
birth to Roger 11 months after his sister was born so it kinda unusal all
the way around. When we went in for my dr. visit and they said I was
at a 9- His father dropped me off at the hospital and went home to load the
wood boiler, pick up my sister to watch thee other children at home
while I was in the hospital, did other odds and ends and even
stopped to eat at Mcdonalds before coming back to the hospital. He
naturally figured it was going to be a long stay once more before he was
able to actual see his son being born. I remember lying in the labor room
thinking that he had better hurry up because this one was gonna be
quick but I also knew it was wintertime outside and he had to make sure our
other children were set at home for the day while we were at the hospital.
Thank God he did manage to make it back to the
hospital just in time to cut the cord...(he missed all the yellin and
screamin I had planned for him tho :) His name his father picked out for him after some
football hero . Roger's Father and I were never married but did live
together in the same home for 9 years which I will always treasure forever.
Thank You Dave (Dad) for always being here for your children even if we
are not living together etc... anymore. We both beleive that it is not the
child who should suffer if the parents cannot continue to live together. Roger has lots of family around him due to the fact that his
mother He has a older brother by 9 yrs Robert that he
fights with constantly but boys will be boys and I do know that they will
protect each other thru thick and thin. His older sister Miranda is 11
months older and therefore makes him the same age as her for three weeks...
so for three weeks they cannot boss each other around. He visits his Father every weekend and loves being at the homeplace in
the country and outside with his 2 half brothers and helping his Dad work on
cars, cut wood, raise rabbits or whatever they may be doing
together. Roger loves to be outdoors. Point blank. In the middle of winter you
will find him outside shoveling walks and sledding. In the summer when there
is no school he is up at the crack of dawn and still outside way past
dark. He is built like a brick shit house (as my father would say) and
should be playing football and on wrestling team but he needs to get his
grades up to par first...He has a habit of doing it and not turning in his
homework...Like the school principle said...It's kinda like your mom going
ot work and punchin a time clokc and then at the end of the week decide not
to turn in the hours for pay. He collects Matchbox LOGO vehicles
and anything that has to do with fishing. He isn't into much reading,
watching TV or sitting idle too long... he needs to be constantly doing
something constructive and would rather be outside tinkering on his
4-wheeler, go-cart, building a tree fort or fishing than be inside the
house. As far as accidents he has had a few
but the one I remember most is when he smashed his fingers between two rocks
at age 6 and I discovered I cant stand the sight of blood. Thank God his
father showed up at the hospital to help him thru it and

His father almost missed his birth due to him
thinking that all kids take a long time to enter into this
world... (plus I also didnt have any contractions thru labor with
him...and this was only his Father's second time around so he just
figured all births were alike)
His godparents are one of his uncles on his mothers side
who is one of his Dad's friend also {ie: as to how Roger's parents met}
and gets to see them all the time.
has 12 brothers and sisters and they all live nearby. His fathers
parents and sister and her family live in GA so he doesn't get to see
then that often....but now 12 years later they do get ot chit chat
occasionally on the internet and thru phone calls
etc...
He also likes to play most sports and to be challenged constantly.
1998-99 he was on a local Hockey Team. He also has tried Cub Scouts in 1999
and did go on a few adventures etc... til the program fell apart here in
this small central Mn
hometown.
