PINKIETESSA by DEREK RIDGERS

Theresa Thurmer is, she´s convinced, going to be somebody.  Looking  at her you feel she may just have a point. Even nowadays,  when surrogate Pete Burns and Boy Georges stand nine deep at the bar of the Camden Palace.  Theresa will still turn a few heads.  Before going to live in Hollywood two years ago she was a well know face amongst the Billys/Blitz/Hell crowd which spawned so many a latter day media darling.  If anyone could be said to embody the spirit of those times, it´s probably her. Refusing to label herself an eccentric, Theresa insists that she´s very much ´of this world´  and knows where she´s going - hopefully towards pursuing ideas ´ in entertainment of just being a personality´ .  Renowned for her spectacular style, Theresa wore home-made or second-hand clothes as a child and now designs and sews her own extravagant wardrobe.  ´Someone once said one of my outfits was Erte inspired, but it wasn´t a conscious thing.  Im inspired most by the Hollywood era and big costumes designers´ .  Theresa enjoys Hollywood and its history, glamour and open-mouthed response to her sartorial extremism.
