freakdom in my early teens with the onset of Boy George,
he changed my world. Makeup changed my world. Makeup
was my defense against the ravages of narrow-mindedness.
My inspiration comes from European history, art, film, and
select few people. Richard Sharah was a huge influence on me.
I had the fortune of assisting him on his return to Australia. He was loud and delicate at the same time. An artist of the most magnificent caliber, an artist who happened to use make up as his medium.
I moved to New York when I was 28 and have been here for 9 years from Sydney and have continued to meet inspirational people from the incredibly humble Marla Belt who, in my world, is
as rare as Mr. Sharah, to Bruce Lindstrom who brings a
beautiful sophistication to edge.. and I cannot
forget Frances Hathaway or Sharon Dowsett who keep me
striving for perfection in my work.
