Line 31. John Lay, b ca 1610 in England, died 18 Jan 1674/5, Lyme, New London Co., CT. Married 1/ unknown (possibly Elizabeth) had child, John (also called "Drummer"), b 1634; m 2/ Abigail Harrison, children:  John Lay "the younger" James, Peter, Abigail, Susanna and Elizabeth. John Lay "the younger" was wounded in the Great Swamp Fight, a battle in King Phillips War. 19 Dec 1675. His family group record has been supplied by Robert L. Ward. (See Line 14 for brother Robert Lay of Saybrook, CT. He also had a brother Edward Lay. (See Lay Of the Land 3/1999)
