Jeptha William Lay died in March 1980 in Geneva, Alabama. Jeptha William's father, James Critendon Lay m. Isabelle (Calhoun) Lay who died in 1886. James Critendon Lay was remarried to Vashti (Felton) Lay shortly after Isabelle's death. James Critendon Lay is the son of John Willis Lay and Elizabeth (Walker) Lay. John Willis Lay is noted to be 23 years old in the 1850 census of Randolph Co., Georgia. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Willis Lay is thought to have been born to a John and Mary Lay in Brunswick Co., NC sometime during or near 1827. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
