Dividing Head for the Taig Lathe
This is my version of the original design by Tony Jeffree modified by Walter Anderson and further modified by me. Hats off to these two craftsmen for paving the way and sharing their experience ! The main difference with this version is that it uses both cross-slide slots for mounting, and the output shaft has been 'beefed' up to allow use of Taig lathe chucks instead of a drill chuck. Also, I added brass bushings and did not make the sector arms, they will be added when needed.
A package of basic drawings of this version is availabe ( all in .PDF format - readable by Adobe Acrobat Reader)

This device works fine, but whether your version will work will depend on many things, which are not controllable simply through a set of drawings and instructions.
The drawings do not show tolerances, you will have to apply common sense and your own machining expertise to achieve success.
