Frigate "Jylland"
A 'Billing Boats' plank-on-frame model of the Danish Frigate 'Jylland'. This project languished for more years than I care to remember, until gently reminded by my wife that she had bought me the kit to BUILD !
Having resurrected the once-moribund hull, I discovered that the fittings kit was no longer available so I set about making my own using information from the Internet, books and illustrations. The brass cannons were some of the first items produced on a Taig lathe bought for this purpose. The coin is a Canadian quarter. The model was completed in 2006.
