"Sabre"
My husband & I had been looking for a male German Shepherd to fill the empty spot in our home caused by the loss of our female, Skye. We contacted Michigan German Shepherd Dog Rescue & the Animal Placement Bureau. We were placed on their waiting lists, so I posted notes on several of the rescue boards as well as a few training boards. After looking at several nice Shepherds, I was contacted by a member of Friends of Ingham County Animal Shelter about a nice young male that was in their shelter. When we went to look at him, he was very skinny and depressed. Both my husband & I fell in love with him, so the next Saturday, I went back to the shelter and brought home a very smelly boy. We named him Sabre, and after a couple trips to the vets for routine vaccinations and heartworm testing, he is now on the road to a happy life. Thank you Jann, for being there for Sabre while he was at the shelter and for introducing me to such a sweet pup.
It's been over a year and Sabre is fully adjusted to his life here. He's a handsome 90 pounds and full of life! He just loves Misty, our Border Collie,  and is a very good watch dog when Dad is away. Sabre has helped fill the void in our lives and has made our house a home again.
Please stop back and visit soon. I'll be updating pictures often.
