CRITICISM
Author Unknown Criticism is like a bucket full of water. At the very bottom of the water is a little bit of sand ,and sometimes hidden in the sand, is one or more gold nuggets. When someone criticizes you, they are throwing this bucket of water in your face. Now your natural inclination will always be to do one of the 3 things: a)
duck and run ;
While these are all natural inclinations they are wrong reactions. It is only a bucket of water ! No one has ever been critically injured being splashed with a bucket of water. The water in the face is cold and uncomfortable for a few moments; but it is still only water. Grab the towel and dry off . As far as the sand goes, if a little gets in your eyes,it will momentarily distort your vision and cause your eye to tear. It will cloud your judgement. So, clear the sand out of your eyes and review the matter under consideration by looking at the source and accuracy of the criticsm. Do not react instantly . As
you consider the accuracy of the criticism ,you will often find a
gold nugget of truth hidden in the sand. When found ,that nugget can be
turned into an improvement in your behaviour or attitude . An improvement
that will raise your level of achievement and fulfillment
