The seasons go by
Now snow begins to fall
A small flake hits your nose
As you smile

Looking back there was no reason
For the pain we endured
This is a new beginning
Let us seize the light

Your eyes sparkle
Under the glistening lights of the tree
I can't help, but smile
You are so precious to me

Embracing the warmth of love
Was the hardest thing
But now I see that I was foolish
There is nothing to fear

Let me hold you forever

OVA 01: Snowy Angel

Christmas was just around the corner and of course Trivalace's favorite couple, Sora and Tracey were planning to exchange gifts for this was their first Christmas together as a couple. The blue haired teen sat in his room looking on the Internet for some ideas. He released a frustrated sigh. "There is nothing!"

"Sora?" his mother questioned as she peeked into her son's bedroom. "What's the matter?"

"I can't think of anything to give Tracey."

"What makes you think he wants anything?" she stepped in and stood before him.

"I just can't not give him something…"

"Aren't you enough?"

"Mom…" he blushed at the thought. "He's had me since I was able to walk and talk. Love can only go so far."

"Love knows no bound. If you can't think of something to buy him, why not make him something?"

"Oh please…" he rolled his aqua eyes, which resulted in a notebook hitting the top of his head. "Not to sound rude, but isn't the 'make something' kinda kiddy?"

"Since when is making crafts kiddy?"

"Since now."

"Sora…"

"I'm sorry. I just have no time left. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I have nothing for the person I love the most."

"Ahem."

"Next to you of course." He smiled a little to show his humor.

"Don't worry, I know you'll come up with something…"

~~~
Tracey sat at his kitchen table with his headphones in his ears. He tapped a pen to the music as he was flipping through a catalog. He took the earphones out when he noticed his mother moving her lips. "What?"
"Tracey, why are you looking through that catalog? Christmas is in a few days."
"I still haven't found a gift for Sora. I don't know what to give him."
"Did you read his mind?"
"I don't do that to him much anymore. Besides if I did than it would have no meaning. This is our fist Christmas together and I want it to memorable…"
His mother smiled, "You sound just like your dad."
"I doubt he tried to read your mind."
"No, he always went" she put her hands on her hips and mimicked her husband's deep voice. "Helen, what do you want?"
"Yeah, that's Dad. I wish he wasn't still in Germany."
"I know." She moved behind him and placed her arms around her son. "I think he'd be surprised at how much you've grown…"
"Hn. But I doubt he'd help me pick out a gift for my boyfriend."
"You're probably right." She removed her grip and looked right into her son's violet eyes. "What do you think will make Sora happy?"
Tracey opened his mouth to respond, but nothing came out. This was going to be something that he had to ponder on…
That night Sora walked into Jake's bar wearing a sad face. In the right light anyone could have seen the tear makes that stained his cheeks. Tracey ran over to him and placed his hands on his boyfriend's shoulders. "Why are you crying?"
"I lost Rachel's ring…"
"Where did you last have it?"
"At Jason's when I was there for Hanukah a couple nights ago. The chain broke so I put it in my pocket, but now I don't know where it is…" that started the tears again.
The black haired boy pulled him close then looked at their female companion. "Cathy, go tell my grandpa that it will be a few extra minutes."
The blond nodded and dashed out. Tracey rubbed small circles on the other boy's back, hoping it would provide some comfort.
"I was so careless…"
"No. You're not careless." He removed himself from his embrace and kissed Sora's tears. "Do you think you dropped it on the street somewhere?"
"I checked and I didn't see it…"
The telepath was at a lost for words. All he could do now was hold him.
* * *
The next morning Sora just lay in his bed. He had cried himself to sleep the night before and he needed all the rest he could muster since tonight he was having Tracey and his mother over for Christmas Eve dinner.
While Sora was sleeping Tracey sat in his living room wondering where a ring could have walked off to since it had no feet. His mother gave him a worried look. "I'm going out to get a few things, then I'm heading over to Kelly's to help cook. Are you going to drive over on your own?"
"Yeah. I still need a gift for Sora and now it has to be a damn good one…"
"Don't stress over it." She shut the door behind her.
"How can I not stress over it? The person I love is torn up inside because he lost the last piece of his sister…" he placed him self in a train of thought when the phone rang, which startled him. On the third ring he picked up. "Hello?"
"Tracey, it's Jason."
"Hey, what's up?" his voice was low and depressed sounding.
"Listen, I think I may have found Sora's ring."
"What?! Where?!"
"Actually Travis noticed it. We went to the jewelry store in Rylie and in one of the cases was a ring on a silver chain. I swear that was the one that Sora lost."
"I don't think it is. If it was, why would it be in a glass case?"
"They do pawns and trades. I would have to guess that someone found it and cashed it in."
"I'll check it out. Hopefully it is Sora's and I can prove it."
"Good luck."
"Thanks." He hung up and went into his room to get dressed. Once that task was taken care of he exited his house to go pay a visit to the jeweler.
Tracey arrived at the jewelry store, a bell rang as the door opened. Taking no chances, the violet-eyed telepath looked very carefully at each item. And in the last case near the register was a sapphire ring on a silver chain. He glanced at the clerk behind the counter. "Can I see that necklace, please?"
"Of course, sir." The woman opened the case and brought out the item in question.
The black haired boy examined it carefully and thoroughly. His eyes widened a bit when he saw the inscription on the inside of the gold band. Let your dreams soar through the sky like the stars. This was indeed Sora's ring.
"Uh, miss. I don't know how to tell you this, but this ring belongs to a very good friend of mine."
"Well, apparently your friend wanted money instead of a small trinket like that."
"No, you see my friend lost this a few days ago and has been in tears since he lost it. Whoever sold this to you was a greedy person. Please ma'am, may I take this back?"
"Sure, I just need $4,000.00."
"$4000.00?! Miss, this didn't even belong to the person who sold it to you."
"Do you have any proof of that?"
"Not on me."
"Then you'll have to pay or leave."
Tracey glanced at his watch and sighed.
Sora watched out his living room window and watched the snowfall. The ground look liked a white blanket. It was nearly 6:00 and Tracey had yet to show up. Helen walked in the room and stood behind the blue haired teen. "Did you get a hold of my son?"
He shook his head. "He's not home and his cell phone is either off or he's refusing to answer it…"
"I wouldn't worry too much." Said Sarah, who was sitting in her recliner. "He'll show up. He always does."
A knock was then heard from the door. The dark haired woman opened the door and her jaw almost hit the floor. "Tracey?!"
Sora turned to the door and his reaction was pretty much the same. Tracey stood in the hallway soaked from head to toe with snow and out of breath. "Can I… come… in…?"
His mother stepped aside and allowed her son to enter. Tracey's violet eyes set themselves on Sora, who looked very concerned for his significant other. "Sora…?" he placed the package he was holding on the sofa, seeing that that was the only thing on him that wasn't wet.
"Yeah?"
"Can I wear… some of your clothes…? I'm freezing…"
"Sure. Go into the bathroom and I'll get you something."
A few minutes later the telepath emerged from the bathroom in a baggy navy blue sweatshirt and a pair of blue flannel pants. Slowly he walked over to the couch, where Sora then placed an afghan over the boy's shoulders. Then he knelt down in front of him. "Tracey, where were you?"
"I got a call from Jason this morning and he told me to go to Rylie."
"Rylie? That's two hours from here. Why would you go there?"
"There's a jewelry store up there. I wanted to get something for you."
"Jewelry?"
"Yes. A special piece of jewelry." He handed Sora the gift that was sitting next to him.
The young wind caster unwrapped it, then opened the box. His aqua eyes shimmered. "My ring…"
"Yeah. Jason saw it at the store and I went to go get it back…"
Choking back his sobs, Sora got to his feet then placed Tracey in a firm embrace. "There is one thing I don't get, why were you soaked?"
"After I got back I went to my house to get something, but then I locked my keys and cell phone in the car. So without my keys I couldn't get back in my house. So I just decided to put the gift under my coat and run to your apartment. I slipped on some ice and landed in snow banks."
The blue haired boy's gripped tightened as tears fell from his eyes. Tracey slowly put his arms around his love and asked, "Why are you crying?"
"Because I'm so happy to have you. But…"
"But?"
He pulled back so he could look into his violet eyes. "I didn't get you anything…"
"It's okay. I have you and your love. That's enough." The two moved in for a sweet and well-deserved kiss.
