The main house of Heaven was quite busy. Busier than normal for its only occupants were Kamui and Celestia. Millenia was there as well, but she always remained in the shadows, out of everyone's way. No one knew why, not even the overseer, but he chose not to pry into it.
The young looking seer sat in his usual spot and joyously watched his partner run back and forth trying to decorate their home for the small get together with their friends. "Celestia, I suggest you slow down. After all if you use all your energy now you'll have none left for tonight."
She stopped moving at his last words. "Kamui, I am trying to make this place presentable and festive for this evenings gathering. I can't even begin to think about sex."
"Ha… ha…" he chuckled, "My dear, I was referring to the festivities. You've watched all of these kids along side me and I know you have been eagerly awaiting this moment. I would like you to be well rested and not sleeping during this tender and beautiful time." He rose from his seat, walked over and stood next to the flustered girl, "So please, darling Celestia, pace yourself." With that he exited the chamber.
Kamui wondered away from his living quarters and entered the home of the firebird. As usual Ruby's home had looked like some kind of testing ground for new summoners. Cautiously he made his way around the abomination that was once known as the floor. Knowing well enough of the redhead's daily patterns, the black haired young man headed up the stairs then stopped in the doorway. "Ruby, you have to learn to clean up your mess."
"And you should follow your own advice seeing that you drew on the wall with crayons like a two year old." She retorted while her nose was buried one of her books.
"Hey! In my defense I DID wash that off the wall!"
"Yeah, only after Celestia threatened not to sleep with you again." Still, she kept her gaze on the book.
"Say what you want. I still have more authority than you do. So there." He stuck his tongue out at her.
"So says the two year old who claims to be God." This time she lifted her red eyes to see the tongue of her master sticking out at her. "What is it that you require of me, Master Kamui?"
He placed his tongue back where it belonged then blinked in confusion. "Huh?"
"I said what do you want? Or did you just come over here to annoy me with your childish antics?"
"Oh yes. And that too. I want you to make a soul."
"For?"
"A couple whom I see having a baby in the near future." He smirked. That smirk always came up when he wanted to withhold information.
"Hm? You know I am happy with following orders, but it would help me to know who is going to carry this child."
Kamui shrugged and turned his back to the woman. "You shall figure everything out tonight. I trust that you are still attending?"
"Of course. No way I would miss something like this."
"Very well." He raised his right hand a little and had his index and middle fingers up. "I'll see you then." He walked out.
"What in the universe is he talking about?"
"Oh and Ruby." The seer poked his head back into the woman's bedroom. "Never question my motives or authority, okay?" he smiled at her then left completely this time to go see Yueh and Muruka.
Kamui walked around the city that resided in Heaven. This was where the rest of the Soldiers claimed their residency. Being one with the people is how they put it. The green-eyed boy knocked on the door to the moon lord's home, but retrieved no answer. The young man sighed to himself almost as if he expected this and just waltzed right in.
"Yueh stop this insanity!"
"Come on, Muru. It will be fun. Just let me experiment…"
"Yueh, stop it!"
"Muru, this body needs to be broken in somehow."
"Ahem."
The two glanced over to the doorframe and noticed Kamui standing there, snickering. "Yueh, do as the lady says."
"But he's not a lady. He's my husband who just happens to be in a female body."
"True, but whether it be a male soul in a female body or a male in female clothing you must treat them as if they were a lady."
"Says you. From what I hear you don't listen to Celestia when she says 'no'."
"Yes, but she likes it." He peered over to Muru, who seemed to be tangled in a rather inappropriate manner by the cloth that is always floating around the Lord of the Moon. "Interesting…"
"Um… instead of saying 'interesting', could you untie me?"
He cocked his head to the side and observed how the cloth was wrapped. "I'll have to remember this handy work."
"Hey, are you listening to me?"
"Oh, Yueh." He brought his head back up and faced the turquoise haired man. "I was just checking in to make sure that the two of you would be present at tonight's gathering."
"Absolutely. I just have some… things I must attend to before tonight."
"I understand completely, but it seems to me that Muru doesn't like to be restrained. I have two things to say about that." He leaned in and whispered into the man's ear, "If you must 'break in' the body that is known as Mura than do it without restraints and the other is that I need to see Muru before the festivities begin. So by all means take your time with your fun, but be sure to have your husband in my presence before the gathering."
"You got it boss."
"Thank you and have a good time." Kamui once again let his smile appear, turned his back to the couple and walked off.
"Hey were you ignoring me the whole time! Kamui, come back! Don't leave me like this!!!!"
"What's wrong Muru?" Yueh asked while standing in front of the female body, grinning at the handy work that his cloth had accomplished. "Kamui told me that he wants to see you before the gathering, but before that he said that I must break in this vessel in the way I see fit."
"Somehow I doubt that…"
"Well you'll never know, because you didn't hear him."
"I'm warning you Yueh, the moment you do anything to me while I'm tied up like this I will seek my revenge."
The aqua-eyed man paled. "Man… Okay, you win. We'll just-"
"No! Now untie me!"
"I was going to say talk."
~~~
On the Planet the citizens of Vishira were eagerly awaiting the wedding ceremony that was being held in the back of the castle. It was going to be a small and simple service with just family and close friends, but that didn't mean the people couldn't talk about it and be happy for the two.
Duo sat in the room he was a signed too. The room was fairly small, but he could deal with it. Anything was better than the Cave of Oblivion. The space was made up of a bed that rested on the right wall, a wooden desk that was placed behind the window, which gave an excellent view of the town and a mannequin that was wearing very dressy black robes.
The black mage just sat at his desk and stared blankly out the moderate sized window. Light taps were heard on the other side of the door, but the longhaired boy made no move to answer it.
The door opened with a soft creek and the Paladin entered. "Duo, is there something the matter?" his voice held a lot of concern for his soon to be spouse as did his Prussian eyes.
"You shouldn't be in here." Came the reply, but he never looked at his love. His eyes just stayed glued onto the town and its people.
"You've been acting strange for the past day or so. Please tell me, what's going on?"
"You aren't supposed to see me before the wedding, please leave."
"That's just superstition."
"I don't care, just go Heero."
Sighing in defeat, the young Paladin did as requested. Walking only mere inches in the hallway he found four of his friends waiting for him. "He wouldn't talk."
"Of course not. I could have told you that." Stated the white mage. "The boyfriend should not see his significant other until the ceremony. It's bad luck."
"He basically told me the same thing. Which means one of you guys will have to talk with him. If he's having second thoughts I would like to know now before we're all standing out there waiting."
Merin shook her head. "Well I can't talk with him. After all I barely know him."
"You know him well enough to come to his wedding." WuFei muttered.
"I'm here because I wanted to accompany you so you wouldn't be dateless."
"So in other words you don't give a shit about these two?"
"I didn't say that! What I mean is that they are my friends, but I don't know Duo well enough to talk with him about this. After all it's not like we could have talked the elders out of our marriage."
"At the moment I wish I had tried!" his eye was twitching.
Trowa shrugged, "Well I don't think Quatre and I would be good candidates for this either. And those two over there… well I think they might give him the idea that marriage is hell and if Quatre or I do it we might give the impression that marriage is easy."
"Well one of you three have to go. I agree with Merin that she may not know what to say in this kind of situation,"
"Thank you, Heero."
"Well" the blond piped up, "there's only one way to settle this. Rock, Paper, Scissors."
Sighing in aggravation, WuFei agreed, having the most dreadful feeling that he was going to lose. All together they shouted, "1, 2, 3, SHOOT!" Low and behold the raven-haired boy had lost. That damn paper covers rock thing should be outlawed. Rock can easily kick paper's ass.
Making haste of the situation and to get away from his wife's snickering he entered the black mage's room. "Okay Duo, listen up. You have got to tell me what the hell's the matter with you." No tact what so ever.
"WuFei…" he turned and faced his companion, "Did Heero send you in here?"
"Yes and no. I lost."
"I see, don't choose rock anymore."
"Glad to see that you still have a sense of humor." The summoner sat on the bed. "So what's wrong?"
"Nothing, I'm just nervous…" he looked away.
"What? You want to change that before you make it a flat out lie?"
"I'm not lying, I am nervous because I don't have anyone."
"You have all of us and you're getting Heero for the rest of your life. What's the problem?"
"The one person that I want present at my wedding isn't here…"
"Ah, this has to do with Mura."
"Yeah. She… he… she… ah I don't know!"
"Mura maybe Muru, but as long as he is in that body he will be Mura."
"You're confusing me."
"I'm saying no matter what, to you and most likely to the rest of us, Muru will always be Mura."
"I… think I know what you're saying, but it still doesn't change the fact that she was a major part of my life and now she's not here to witness the biggest change of my life. And don't tell me that she's going to be watching it from Heaven and will always watch over me. It's not the same!"
"I know. But be thankful for what you do have. Kirin and Melody have graciously prepared a small ceremony for the people that you are close to, to attend. You're lucky. Merin and I only had the elders and the top summoners witness our bonding. And you said it first, she is watching over you and no matter what she is apart of you."
"WuFei…"
He stood from the mattress, "If I were you, I'd change into your ceremonial robes. That is if you don't have any second thoughts. After all you have less than hour till dusk." After that he left the room.
Right outside the door stood the female summoner already in her slim black and gold dress. "Well?"
"I think you already know. You were listening in, right?"
"Well yeah, seeing that you lost the Rock, Paper, Scissors match on purpose."
"Hn. How do you figure?"
"Because it's you." She placed his arms around his neck in a loose embrace, "Do you really think our wedding was that bad?"
"The wedding yes, the marriage…" he smiled at her, "not really."
Merin smiled back and gave him a tiny peck on the cheek then pulled away. "Come on you, we have to get you dressed for the occasion."
~~~
Muru entered the main building of Heaven. He chuckled as he watched Celestia run from end to end of the room, for a brief moment before bowing in front of his master. "What is it that you request of me?"
"I want you to go to the lower region and witness Duo and Heero's wedding. This is my gift to them."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes and Yueh already knows about it. Though I'm starting to wonder if he has forgotten… Never the less, you know it's almost dusk, if you are to make it please leave now."
"Yes." He stood from his position and proceeded towards the door.
"Muru."
The female stopped as his name was called. "Yeah?"
"Did Yueh… ya know…"
"If he had, I wouldn't tell a lecherous seer, like you." He left the building.
"Well that was mean…"
"Well you had no right to ask."
"Celestia, how can you side with the Star Master?"
"Because he's right. You don't go around, telling people of our private moments, do you?"
He turned his head away from her and whistled.
"Kamui? Who have you told and WHAT have you said?"
"Yueh and… everything." He dashed out of the room and into his bedchamber.
~*~*~*
The backyard of the castle was quite small regardless of what anyone might think. The crowd of people that were there mainly consisted of: the two queens, Merin, Heero's party, OZ, Howard, Hilde, Sally, Blade, Catherine, Dorothy and Relena.
The paladin and the black mage stood under a handmade white arch. Hand in hand they gazed into each other's eyes. Kirin and Quatre stood next to one another, facing the entire group for it was the two of them who were performing the ceremony.
The desert king smiled to himself as he witnessed Heero trying to hold back a small tear, "If there are any objections to this bonding, please speak now."
"I object."
The entire group turned to the back exit of the castle. There stood a lovely young woman with long purple and silver hair, bright blue eyes and she wearing a similar dress that Merin was except dark blue and silver. "What are you staring at?" she grinned, "You expect my brother to get married without me?"
"Mura!" Duo broke away from his koibito, jogging over to his sister, "I can't believe it, you're here!" he threw his arms him.
"You can thank Kamui." He whispered then pulled back. "What are you waiting for? Go marry the man you love."
"Yes sir… ma'am sir." The chestnut haired boy gave a confusing look then just dismissed it. He was getting married, that was at his full attention now.
Kirin giggled, "Seriously. Are there any real objections?"
Silence.
Quatre smiled even wider, "You two may now exchange vows of love and sincerity."
Heero tightened his grip on his lover's hands, took a deep breath then let his heart do the talking. "Duo, you were the first friend I have ever had. I didn't want to get close to anyone, out of fear that they would have rejected me, but you welcomed me with open arms. The day I was adopted my heart sank because I left my soul behind. From then on all I could do was think about you. You came back into my life and the moment I laid eyes on you again, I knew that we'd never be separated. You are my soul, Duo Maxwell. You always have been and always will be…"
The violet-eyed mage tightened his grip too as he choked back a sob. "No matter how cold you tried to come off, I could tell from the beginning that you were a sweet and gentle person. After you had left I felt torn up, but you were always with me. My braid was a constant reminder that you were out there, waiting. I never gave up hope. You are my hope, my faith and my love. No matter what we have gone through in the past and what we will be facing in the future, we'll face them together because Heero Yuy, you and I are one. For the rest of our lives we are one in body, mind and soul…"
The two of them placed a gold band around the other's finger. Kirin wiped away her tears as she happily said, "On behalf Vishira and Momoiro we now pronounce you life-mates. Now seal the rest of the ceremony with a kiss, for it will be your first in your new lives together."
With no objections Heero and Duo leaned in for a passionate kiss. The crowd applauded and cried tears of joy for the two newly weds.
~~~
In Heaven, Kamui and his soldiers stood watching through parted clouds. Each with a smile on their face, except the seer had his usual "I'm not going to tell" grin.
Ruby finished the hors d'oeuvre she was eating, then leaned over to the young seer. "I am very pleased at how all this turned out, but I'm still confused about the soul." She whispered.
Kamui just chuckled at her confession. "Fear not Ruby. This is just the beginning."
"But Heero and Duo-"
"Those two boys aren't the ones I was speaking of. Pay close attention."
~~~
The small gathering of people mingled with one another then danced to the tiny band that was there. Heero smiled at his new spouse, but then it faded.
"Heero, what's wrong?"
"I wanted this night to be perfect for you."
"It is because I married you and as a bonus I had my sister here. It's what I pictured my wedding day to be. Under the stars, the man I'm in love with taking my hand in marriage and the people I care for most here to witness the whole event. How could you think that this is less than perfect?"
"Didn't you tell me that you wanted to be married in the snow?"
He blinked. "Yeah, I said that. But you can't control something like that. Besides three out of four ain't bad."
"True, but still…"
The violet-eyed mage placed his lips on his lover's cheek, then pulled back. "Don't be like that."
Quatre, Trowa and the two queens stood next to the refreshment table. The blonde's smile never left his face as he observed his friends. "This was so romantic…"
"You're swooning." The lancer announced.
"But it's true."
Kirin chuckled at the two, then her attention diverted to her wife, who was watching her brother closely. "Melody?"
"Look at those two. When they first got married they seemed to hate each other now look at them."
WuFei and Merin were sitting on the ground away from the crowd. Their eyes locked onto the sky, his arms wrapped around her as she snuggled further into the embrace.
"WuFei?"
"What?"
"Do you think our love is that strong?'
"Stronger. You died and I was technically possessed."
She chuckled, "I'm serious."
"So was I."
"I wonder what lies ahead for us."
He tightened his grip on her. "I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Just take it one day at a time."
"Together, right?"
"Of course."
Unknown to everyone, Muru had snuck away from the party and stood in the front of the castle. His hands locked in front of his chest as if in some kind of prayer. "Stars above, heed my call and fly through the sky. Create something so mystical that it will forever remain in their memory just like their love…"
~~~
Also unknown to everyone, except Kamui this was a signal. The seer looked at his significant other. "Celestia, move over to the edge of the clouds."
"Al… alright." She obeyed and peered over.
"Now, remove your robes."
"What?!" she glared back it him. "Kamui, this is not the time or place for that!"
Millenia looked confused, as did Ruby. Yueh smirked, most likely do to the fact the he thought of something kinky. Treize was there as well, but gave no reaction. Kamui moved a little bit closer to the flustered woman. "Do it."
Blushing, she did as requested. The white pieces of cloth fell around her ankles, her blush deepened as she tried to cover her naked body.
"No, do not cover yourself."
"K-Kamui… this is embarrassing…"
He shook his head, then stood behind her. Taking hold of both her wrists and pry them away from her private parts. "Don't be afraid or embarrassed. This is you." Light shone from under their feet.
~~~
The party was going as planned. Everyone was having a good time. Quatre was giggling at Trowa, but then stopped at something cold hitting his nose. "Huh?" he looked up and saw small white flakes falling from the sky.
"Heero," Duo spoke with seriousness and affection, "picture perfect wedding. You're four for four."
"I didn't do this…"
"I know, your wish came true. This is what my wedding was meant to be like."
The two summoners remained sitting on the ground. "Such a pure sight…" WuFei said then took his gaze off the darkened sky and placed it on his wife. "Too bad you're asleep…" he couldn't hold it back. He smiled. Moving slowly and carefully, the raven-haired-boy removed his black coat and draped it over the sleeping girl.
~~~
"What happened?" Celestia stammered.
"You did. My darling Celestia, you are the Keeper of Purity. Any wish that has pure intention, you are able to grant it. Hence why you were able to make it snow."
"Purity?"
"Yes. Purity is almost anything. Pure as love, pure as body or even pure as white. It all depends on you." He walked away from her and was stopped a few inches way by Ruby.
"I understand now."
"Good, then proceed with my request."
"As you wish." The redhead bowed then took off for her place.
"Kamui?"
The seer turned around and smiled at the clothed Keeper of Purity. "Yes?"
"Thank you."
"Why thank me? The power was in you all along."
"Okay, then let me ask you this, when do you see us getting married?"
"Uh…" he inched away. "I have to go… do something now… Bye!" he ran off.
"Unbelievable…"
Millenia watched everything in silence, then just walked back into the main building. Treize walked off after Kamui had announced Celestia's new found power. Yueh stood in his spot, waiting for his husband to return, thinking to himself. This was such a nice day. I hope Muru is in a better mood now so we can have some fun… He gave a sly smile then started to laugh like a lunatic.
~~~
Quatre, Trowa, Melody and Kirin stood on a large balcony watching the falling snow.
"How beautiful…" Melody muttered as she moved closer to her wife.
"Yes, it is." She replied
The blond king and his husband just snuggled up to each other and observed the sky above. Snow was falling, the moon was shining brightly and stars streamed across the navy blue sky. It was indeed beautiful.
~~~
Heero and Duo were in bed, their bodies intertwined with one another. Prussian eyes locked with violet ones. "I love you." They said in unison as they leaned in for yet another passionate kiss.
Pulling away, the two set their sight through the silk curtains in the bedchamber. The moon and stars shone through, the light dancing along the two bodies. Duo smiled. "I love it when the sky's like this." He shut his eyes.
Heero tightened his hold and chuckled.
~~~
WuFei sat in front of a fireplace that was located in the living room of his home. His wife was still in his arms and a large blanket draped over the two. Merin's head was against his chest. He stroked her hair in a loving manner. "I love you. You know that, don't you?" he whispered, then sleep took over.
Shine through the night
Our happiness is here and now
Shine through the night
A shooting star falls from above
Closing my eyes I make a silent wish
Knowing well that our love will not fade
I can't stop myself from playing this foolish game
Arms closing around me in the cool night air
I can hear you laughing at me
But I don't care you're everything to me (You're all I need)
Embrace the moonlight
Find your true self within its brightness
Shine through the night
Is there such a thing as more gentleness?
Can I shake off the nervousness?
My heart pounds anytime I see your face
When you are near
I feel I am no longer a soldier
You smile at me (How can you be so childish)
That innocence could harm you
For so long I have waited for this
Reaching out to you I grant your quiet asking
Shine through the night
Our happiness is here and now
Shine through the night
We've taken this step
We can't run now
Let us shine
As if we were the last hope
(Hope, Faith)
Let us shine
Kill us if it's the only way
Let us shine
For we are one (Now and forever…)
Embrace the moonlight
Find your true self within its brightness
Shine through the night
Is there such a thing as more gentleness?
Shine through the night
Our happiness is here and now
Shine through the night
Kamui sat in his bedchamber in the dark and appeared to be talking to himself in different of voices as Celestia walked in. "Kamui, what are you doing?" she lit the candle that was next to the bed.
On the floor the young seer was playing with four black figurines. "Playing with foreshadowing."
"Kamui, you know better than that." She took the figure away from him. "If you're not careful you can put someone's eye out."
He pouted.
~~~
In another room in the main building that was also cast in darkness, three people stood. The younger one blinked, "So… are we going to get introduced yet?"
The End
